OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 3/07/2022**

Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

Hi there Chrisians Mom! I got my letter today too-- was over the moon!!

Is there another group already started (if so, where? I didn't see one and didn't want to duplicate) :)

Sounds like a great idea. I'm always wondering if I am in the right or best place on here. It is overwhelming. My son is ship 4 div 813. Let me know if I'm missing out on another better way or spot on here Thanks

Hello Mom's of Ship 04 DIV 813, I got the form letter today!  I feel so lucky that he had a chance to add a note "so far I'm having a Blast"  It helps to know their happy.

Hoorah I sure did and I'm still walking on air! :)

I did add you as my friend so I'll be checking out your page shortly. :)

I am a newbie here too (so I feel kinda lucky to find the same discussion thread twice in a row since I've been all over the site). :)

i wish i knew how to work this site its confusing.  I will earn i guess

Chisians'sMom: Glad I found you as well! You're way ahead of me in planning. I haven't gotten that far yet (but should probably be doing it soon, huh?)  We'll be doing the same I image (flying in, renting a car). So much to do; am simply running out of daylight before running out of things to do! :)

I received the form letter from my son today and he is assigned to ship04/div 813 with PIR on 5/18.  He included a short note that he is doing okay.

I think I read somewhere on this site that the division # identifies the pipeline (thus, 800 division #'s are associated with SO; 900 division #'s are associated with band/music).

didnt get mine yet but my mail is snail mail  so hopefully today.

I havent gotten my yet.  I am so sad but my mail is slow so hopefully today.  His recruiter gave me is ship and division  ship 4 division 813.  I can not wait until May 18.

Waiting is the hardest part.  Did you get the clothes box?
