I got my son the card reader that can read his ID card, and the Challenge Coins he earned so far E-1, E-2, E-3 and the one for RTC, and study materials he can use at his A-School. He's going for HM, and there are lots of study materials for the HM classes.

The N4M's Community Guidelines does not allow the promotion of businesses on it's public pages...but does allow it on your Profile page or through the private message system to your Friends when asked.SO, since this discussion is here...I will give you the link to a members page that has a Comment with a link to a Challenge Coin business! They are offering free shipping (standard) on orders of $20 or more. Make sure you read the comment completely on how to take advantage of this offer.

Here is a site with some History about the origin of Challenge Coins.

Challenge Coin History

The size of the "Coin" is a liitle larger than a Silver Dollar...but about twice as heavy.

I wasn't trying to promote the company...my bad. However, in light of this I will find another source for the history.

THIS IS A REPOST WITH THE REMOVAL OF THE BUSINESS THAT WAS POSTED FOR THE HISTORY OF THE CHALLENGE COIN. New wikipedia site link added instead.

I have several Coins myself as my hubby has "coined" me with them from his Deployments...I also have one given to me by his General (at the time) in a beautiful case with a letter...he had one made for all of the spouses...I treasure it.
