This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

We are tyring so hard on those trivia questions.  My husband and I call each other at work, log in and I type as he tells me the answer.  The last two weeks he knew the answer within a nano-second of me reading the question.  We will NEVER give up....until Oct 14 that is :)

Got a call today!  Yay he said the entire Div (821)  had an hour to get their calls in.  :) Was good to hear his voice.  Was short but am glad we were all home to talk.   :)

Yeah navymom, I got one too, he has like 25 minutes but it was long enough to make my week! Was that your first call, too? My son sounded good, better than the first letter I got. I think no matter how much they know it's still a bit of a 'culture shock' at first, probably good they don't call home the first couple weeks:) Praying everyone else got their calls, too! Oh and he said that he thinks his Div will be packing most of their stuff Before PIR and then go back after to pick up the stuff and check into prebuds. I told him we'll definately be flexible. He was pretty sure they'd have liberty the rest of Friday til like 8pm and then I guess it's up to prebuds about the liberty hours Sat and Sun. I'm just so glad we will get to be there!

He called once for a few minutes and had to go- then called back. Was on a phone with a bad connection but was still good to hear his voice.  Yes he tried to explain when they move over after PIR etc on the 2nd call but only heard every other word. He did sound good :)  Hoping everyone else got their calls too.... Yes I think if they were allowed to call sooner there would be lots of calls from concerned moms wanting their sons to come home.  Was hard to say goodbye but a month from tomorrow we will be there- YAY!  :)
So glad that 821 is getting their calls today.  It is so good to hear their voices.  I know they are all anxious to see us at PIR! Hoping everyone gets a chance to talk to their loved ones!  Now to just keep praying for them to stay strong.  We will be seeing them in about 30 days!

Got a nice long phone call from my SR today... So good hearing his voice and being able to talk. Plus got more of a run down of plans after boot. I feel so much better about every thing! Half way there! Sounds like they will have a fair a mount of free time during PIR weekend. Going to set up my reservations right now!

Does sound like things are getting a lot better since I last talked with him! He can't stress enough to me to send as much as possible.. news articles, letters, pictures. anything!

He said their next phone call should be in two weeks.

:]

Was so nice to get a phone call from my SR in Div 821 this afternoon. Almost didn't pick up the phone - was at work. He was happy to be able to phone us, even for a few minutes - he is definatly homesick. With them half way - he is starting to think about the next 4 weeks and hoping they will go a bit faster than the last. Can't wait to see him at graduation.
I keep looking for the "like" button... but yay so happy for you!  :)

Sooo glad to hear my SRs voice today!!! :D It was the greatest call of my life.

Can't wait for the letter this week!!

Go team!!  (parents and our boys!)  :)  :)  Big smiles and much anticipation!!!

I got a letter today from my son and he listed the names of the kids he is hanging with - two of them I don't know.  1 is from Virigina with a last name that starts with "F" and one from Oregon last name starts with "K".   If you are the mom of either of these, friend me :).  Hope you are all holding up well.  Only 25 wake ups to go!
Sneaky sneaky!!!  I guess we need to be much more careful.  Thanks for the heads up!
