Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 325 and 326

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Nothing here yet either... just his box the first week. But I'm still writing...
I got letters today!!! Div 326- soooo happy!!! Check your mailboxes!!!
Lucky lucky, I'll have to wait until I get off work to check!

I really hope you get something when you get home... I am on cloud 9!

Div 326 letters are finally arriving?! I am so excited. I can't wait to get off work and get to my mailbox. Oh, I really, really hope something is there.

~Wishing all DIV 326 families a personal letter today~

Me too!! Several letters, as did several family members! What a relief, though these first couple weeks sound hellish.... He says keep the letters coming. He said to tell all the other moms that everyone wants so badly to hear their name called at mail time... Write, write, write..... And send band Aids cuz the boots suck! Ha!!

Also, I've enclosed a couple of generic thank you type notes for him to give to those not getting much or any mail.. He says those have been great as well... Just a thought to share with all of you.

I was just reading the "Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to Send to Your Recruit" article, and realized I did something really bad, and probably caused my recruit some trouble.  I had read before about not writing on the outside of the envelope, and not sending anything lumpy, no singing cards, confetti, etc, so I didn't do any of those things, but I did send something requiring extra postage, a 9x6 envelope (fits standard size pages folded in half) with about 15 pages of funny joke/stories, and one page had a few pictures of 'pin-up' type ladies -  no nudity and not sexually explicit, but still probably not something he wants to be put on the spot for.

My heart sank when I read this:

Do not send packages or envelopes of any kind that require more than standard postage. Those would have to be opened in front of the RDC and your recruit may not be permitted to keep the contents and may also receive IT or other consequences.

Now I feel awful...ugh

I got my first letter from my SR...He is pretty down.  He says he has been labelled as the "bad kid' and one RDC told him he was going to make him quit.  I just want to reach out and hug him.  I hope things improve for him soon.

Which division is your son... And his first name... I can have my son reach out to him for support. He's a natural leader and has been great in the past with boosting team morale on multiple sports teams as a team captain.... Don't worry, he'll be ok.

My son is Div 326.  I just got his phone call today, and he sounds so much better than when he wrote the letter.  He is a little rough around the edges sometimes, so probably just had rough start with the RDC.

I'm so glad he's doing better... My son is also Div 326... I also got a call today....
I got a phone call! It was amazing and awful.... He sounded sick at first, but I think he was just tearful.... Which made my heart ache to hug him. He said he doubts if they will get an more phone calls but just doesn't know. Overall says he's doing ok. Definitely not loving it and there are plenty of struggles, maybe a bit harder than he thought but says everyone is getting through and they are helping each other.... Can NOT wait ford PIR.... He says it's all they are really looking forward to.
