Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 379 and 380

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Got a call from my niece and she said that the first week was awful because they were not allowed to work out or anything because they were trying to figure out how to integrate them.  She is going EOD and did say all the girls were great!

Kim_72, I have a son in 379. He is a twin & the other twin is @bc also, but we have not received his form letter with his PIR date.
Is your daughter in 379 or 380?

doubletrouble  she is in 379. Wow I cant believe you have two there. You are amazing! Did you get to talk to one of the boys yesterday?

Kim_72, YES, we got to talk to the one in 379! He called Saturday morning. It was so good to hear his voice! He said he has seen his brother a couple of timea, but they haven't gotten to talk yet. I hope they remember they can go to chapel on Sunday to be able to visit with each other.
Have you talked to your daughter yet? Hope she is getting settled in.

We will be staying at the Ramada Thursday through Monday. I read in one of my groups that if my son has A school at Great Lakes..he would have liberty from 4pm Friday until Sunday at 9pm. Having to go back to barracks every night before 9,ofcourse. If it is true he will have liberty on Sunday, i do not want to miss any of it. :) Still have not purchased the plane tickets though. We may do the 14 hour drive if everyone in family wants to go.

I got a call from my son Saturday morning.  I wasn't a long one though

My niece is div 379 ship 4 and I received a phone call from her on Friday night finally!  Almost missed her call because I had left my phone in the car, got it just in time.  She had earned a reward so we got to talk for 15 min.  She said everyone in her division was awesome.  She is going EOD and I was happy to hear that there are two other females also doing this with her.

My daughter and her friend are both in 379. My daughter called sat morning.
Cathy mazzship04 div380 thanks for the info!:)

Sure hope we get a personal letter from our kids soon. Maybe the letters coming out of there will not take as long to reach us as the letters we are sending them.

I do know on Saturday my daughter said the mail girl had not taken her test so hopefully she did and mail went out yesterday. She said they had not received mail unless sent priority mail.

I ordered my Blue candle. Cant wait to get it!!
