Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!

It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

So I'm devastated.. MISSED my phone call from my boyfriend this morning.. I thought they only were able to call in the afternoon and had my phone on silent while I was at the gym.. I have literally been waiting by my phone for weeks! he is in div 802 and called at exactly 9 am their time, 10 am here. He left a voice mail saying he had to take a pass class this week to try and adapt to Navy culture and he would maybe be allowed a phone call in a week. Can anyone tell me if that is a normal class or if he is having a hard time??

He may have said "path class" too if that makes more sense, the voicemail was quick and to the point.. help!

There is PASS and FAST. PASS is for "coping" type skills and FAST is for reading comprehension, verbal expression skills.

I have info on both. Did he say anything else? Usually, these are remedial classes. Let me know and I can help.

Not all recruits attend PASS or FAST.

I believe he said Pass class. He said it was very briefly in the message he was taking a class the next week to help him adjust to the navy culture and he would call in about a week when it was over. And hung up .. Any information on this I would appreciate I am SO confused! Thank you!

KTKat - Received your Friend Request...accepting shortly and will send you a message.

For those of us that didnt get the phone call last week, it may be because your SR was one of the lucky ones selected to have their wisdom teeth pulled! I received a letter today from my SR saying he and many others were not allowed to call last week because they were "SIQ" (sick in quarters) due to having their wisdom teeth pulled. Said the procedure went well but when the drugs wore off he was in some pain. Im hoping he is bouncing back quickly! The way his letter read, having his teeth pulled would not interrupt his training in any way. Still hoping for a phone call to make up for not being able to do it last week. Fingers and toes crossed. I hope everyone is doing well!

Good info proudmomma-- thank you!  My son only had one wisdom tooth left, but maybe they felt the need to yank it too.  I still have not had a phone call, and didn't get any mail today either.  I'm expecting some news in the mail at least on Wednesday or Thursday, because that's when the letters came last week.

Maybe tomorrow will be a phone call day for us.  I feel bad for those that had calls come in, but missed them.

our sons are in the same division. what is it with all these sailors getting their wisdom teeth pulled. my son said he is getting his done on 11/15.2012. not real happy with this for it is two weeks before graduation.  i hope he has a speedy recovery.  hope your son and all others who had this done are doing well.

theresa320....Pretty weird but I guess do it now rather than later when they are out in the field! LOL...I havent talked to my SR but felt so bad for him! I remember when I had mine pulled....I was such a chicken I had them put me under to do it! It is odd that they would wait two weeks before PIR to do your sons. No reason to the madness! I guess we better get use to it!

Praying for all those in the path of Sandy and for Brett and his family.  Hope all our N4M familys are doing okay.

Here's hoping we all receive letters or phone calls this week.  Working on training week 4, almost half way through bc.  And to think bc is only step 1 of this incredible journey our sons have chosen...:-? thinking.

In the last 5 days, there have been nearly 1000 views per the counter above....  (Isn't the number of views for only this discussion group within 11/30/12?)  Are these views by other members who read but don't post much...and/or by the RDCs etc trying to dig up details?  Just curious.

Answer...possibly all of the above :-)
