Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 806

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Yes - I'm part of that page too

As I said yesterday, I am part of a closed FB group for PIR 2/6.  Just this morning, I got a message from ANOTHER Facebook group for the same PIR.  I am a little skeptical, and of course, didn't join.  The one I am in seems to have a lot of connections to the Navy and RTC itself so I think it's legit.  I am wondering how people are supposed to tell the difference.....maybe I shouldn't have joined one at all.  I felt better about it when I thought it was the only one.....now it seems there are multiples. Thoughts?

Hi, my son also felt the same as the other recruits plus I think it was in his blood. He grew up in the Navy, His dad is a Master Chief who after retiring became a Navy JROTC instructor. Iam not in the FB group. Should I be? Any advantages, diff. things from here?

I feel like there is more information here.....and easier to come back to later.  I also feel like OPSEC/OERSEC are followed here more......

I agree - much more info and not as lax as Facebook.  I'm on both the PIR 2/6 group on Facebook and the 800 div. group.

Good morning ship 04 peeps!  Got a letter from my SR yesterday......only the 3rd one....but he does have a girlfriend and lots of friends writing him, so I am sure his time is divided.  Sounds like they've had some pretty tough workouts lately (some as punishment), but they also have earned a Bravo Zulu!  He mentioned a whole list of last names that are in his section, and he wants to know if I'm talking to any of their moms!  :)

i am so glad for you, that is great news for them as well!

Anyone in 806 thought about a table decoration (center piece) with our divisions number on it for Sarges Meet and Greet?  I can do something, but I am not very crafty, so I don't want to go through the trouble, if someone has already created something.</p

I never thought about table decorations.  I'm not very crafty either, so go for it!  Getting excited.  3 more weeks.

I have not made anything either, a little hard with traveling and having to carry, i know on someone's post a bit ago, they wrote about this and someone else made origami ships, which i cannot do, i am happy to bring little flags or something if you think we can do something with this.  do you have any thoughts at all?  anchors?  ship wheels?  i might also be able to find a balsa type anchor but it would likely be flatish, we could write the ship and division on it if you like that idea.

We're driving so I can bring something. I picked up a navy-colored bucket today at the dollar store...and some stars and stripes type sparkly things to put in it.  I can figure out a way to put the numbers 8-0-6 on it somehow....it's just very "USNavylike"...so far.  I will just say that I will bring all of it and put a styrofoam base in it with the 806 numbers....anyone can feel free to stick any anchors or flags or "navy ships on a stick" or whatever in it.  ha ha!  It's just nice to have something to find each other for an 806 table.

I have Navy themed items left over from my sons going away party that I can bring. I also have a nice metal anchor, 8 inches long I will bring. I'm flying in from CA but my things are easy to pack.
