Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 369 and 370

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 06/Div 369, and I finally got the call but I was on the bus on my way into work and could not talk loud and we both could barely hear each other :-(  It lasted only 8 mins. and I am a complete mess at work....he did ask if I received his letter, so I pray it's there when I get home.  He will be going to A School in GL for AECF.  I hope they get another call this Saturday!!

how do you know where they are going to the A School?? I am so new at this and so out of it!!!

proudmommy - our son knew before he left for boot camp.  Ask your son in a letter, I would think he would know already where he is going next!

I just got a call from my son also!  Woo hoo!  He's Div 369.  He sounded really good... Today they are on Day 1-5.  Tomorrow is their 1st inspection, & Monday is their 1st test!  They had their 1st PT test already.  There's a lot of yelling, but not constant.  He said most of what they've been doing so far is marching, folding clothes, making their bed, cleaning, standing at attention with their mouths shut and standing watch.  It was awesome to hear his voice again and ask a few questions.  Oh, and he wrote a letter last Sunday & mailed it out. I'm hoping to get it soon!  He said they are SO busy he won't really have time to write to most people, as Sunday he will have church, has to clean, and has to study for the test Monday.  He is REALLY looking forward to receiving letters on Sunday (good thing we have mailed a bunch already!)

Also, he told me last names of a few guys he is friends with.  If you have a son who flew out of San Diego 9/9 and last name starts with D (Pensacola for A School), starts with C (Pensacola for A school) or starts with L (not Pensacola for A school); or a son from Brooklyn whose last name starts with M (Pensacola for A school, CTN), could you please private message me?  I just want to touch base with someone's mom who is actually friends with my son!  Also, his bunkmate's first name starts with W, but I don't know where he's from!  He had to get off the phone real quick!

Thank you for making these Ship groups, ellen0502!  SO helpful!  Same as TheRocksmom, I have been trying to think which moms have kids in the same Ship/Div as mine, and this is awesome!

My son is ship 6 div 369.  Got my call this morning too.  So good to hear from him.  He said he did not know if they were going to do his wisdom teeth yet, but did fix one of his chipped teeth.  Said he mailed a letter on Sunday and was checking on how his girlfriend was doing.  He will be going to Pensacola for A and C school. His last name begins with a K.   It is a common misspelled one and lots of people thinks it begins with a C.

Luckily for us Great Lakes is closer to home for us than most of you.  But we are staying in Libertyville.  There are 5 in our group so one has to stay behind at the hotel, but we can join up later together.

Hang in there all, not much longer and it does go by faster than you think.

My son is Division 370 too!

BTW My son's last name starts with C...and no one has ever spelled our name right. He shipped out of San Diego 9/9.

Did anyone on here join the FB group for PIR 11-06?

Mommacnavy- yes I am on the FB groups for our PIR date....
