Hi! I don't see a discussion group for Ship 07 DIV 221 yet, so here we go!!!  I got my first letter from my son this last Wednesday, June 6th. Did any of you also get letters yet. If so, how were your sailors doing? Mine said he's doing fine, the food is bad, he really likes his bunk mate and the two guys next to him. He also mentioned about the RDC's being strict and serious but fair. He didn't date his letter, but I think he wrote it last Sunday. I can't WAIT to hear more from him. I hope you're all doing well and can't WAIT to visit with all of you on here!!!

Mom of recruit - that's great that you got a letter! Sounds like your SR is doing very well. I can't imagine how they do what they do without more sleep than they are getting. I guess it helps to be young and healthy!!!

Navyknit - I didn't get a letter today either. I was on such a high last week also after getting both a letter and call all in the same day. I'm trying not to worry over it. Just keep telling myself the "No news is good news!" line, which I do believe is true.I continue to write and hope also. Four (4)!!! weeks from tomorrow we will all be together at graduation!!! Yeah!!! I wish you all a good evening and sleep tight!!!

I got 2 letters this week, but both on Thursday instead of the typical Wednesday letter.  We have officially made it past the half way mark, and in 27 days, we will be watching our Sailors march into that hanger in Great Lakes!  My feelings of sadness behind missing him, have now turned into feelings of excitement and anticipation for those moments that we will be reuinited! :-)  Can't wait to see him in those dress whites!  How is everyone doing?

I've had a good day today. My hubby and I drove up to Corning, Iowa and are now back home. Lots of beautiful green fields, just a lovely part of the country! There was some rain this morning, but it is a beautiful afternoon!  I too am beginning to focus more on the excitement of seeing our SR's graduate. And I LOVE watching the videos of boot camp that I am slowly finding more of. That's fantastic that you got 2 letters this week!!!  I don't know how I'll make it through another week if I don't hear something, but I know that I WILL make it!  No news is good news, no news is good news, no news is good news...

Hi fellow Ship 07 Div 221s:  Did you know our guys are trying for the Hall of Fame?  Well they are.  Only 2 divisions have passed through this year, so lets cheer them on!

Wow!!! Thanks for letting us know! Did you get a letter from your SR telling you about this? This is really exciting, no wonder I haven't gotten any more letters, he said was was going to be busy!!! Thank you for giving me something to be excited about again Drew 2.0!!!

I didn't know that. :-) ill absolutely cheer them on! They can do it.

He told me when he called.  He is really proud of the teamwork and how they are encouraging each other to achieve this goal.  How cool is that!  I think they will have some great stories to tell when we see them SOON.

My son has also mentioned how well they are working together. GOOOOOOO Div 221!!!!!!! It will be awesome to hear their stories!!!
