Hi We are from Texas, and my son is on Ship 09 Division 132. So far we have gotten one regular letter from him besides the form letter. He was already disappointed not to have gotten more letters and talked about how important getting letters is to everyone. He will be going to the Nuclear Engineering school after graduation. Anyone else have someone doing that?
Hi Sandy, my recruit is going to Nuke after bootcamp graduation, as well. He's SHIP 09 DIV 137, so they'll both be graduating 4/15.
Hi maryquitecontary, my son is also in the Nuke program. He said tonight he will be leaving the Saturday after graduation. He is in ship 9 div 132.

Nice to know.... I got my first letter today and he said he heard he's leaving sometime between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening. Maybe that means he's leaving Saturday as well.... hoping he'll know more when I get my first phone call from him! A little hard to make travel plans with that wide of a time frame.

Have you gotten any calls yet?

My son is in the same one as your son! Have you gotten a phone call yet?
I wish we knew more about when they are leaving after graduation - still trying to make travel plans. So proud of him!
I agree.... not sure if I should just book the hotel for the entire weekend or not!
We went ahead and booked the hotel for the weekend, since we can cancel that. But - having a harder time knowing what to do with the airline tickets!
Luckily I'm close enough that I'm driving, my recruit's mom is coming from CA and she's having the same dilemma! What hotel are you staying at? And do you know where your son is going after bootcamp?

We are staying at the Red Carpet Inn - it is supposed to be only about a mile or so from the base. Prices were pretty good.

My son will be in the Nuclear Engineering Program. Before he left for bootcamp, he was told he would be in school South Carolina after graduation.

Great. My recruit is in the same program as your son, although my friend is in a different division right now... but I bet they'll be spending a lot of time together after bootcamp! :)
You are right- the letter I got from him today said he feels like he now has about 85 brothers!
