While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome, Sandra! This group is pretty quiet but will hopefully chat a little more as we get through BS21 in the few days. I'm pretty sure 136 has BS on the 18th-19th. Then Captain's Cup on Saturday. I sure hope they get to sleep a little before they have to compete.
I'm so sorry about your daughter's heels. My son sprained his ankle the second week and said it's been tough to push through since it always hurts. He also had some kind of itchy red bumps - maybe bugs in his mattress? Can you imagine trying to stand at attention when your limbs itch like crazy? He hasn't complained at all though, just said he knows he's exactly where he's supposed to be and the other guys in the division think he may be the weirdest guy they've ever met. Guess they don't get around much. He can be pretty random and is very secure and happy. I miss him. -

My girlfriend is a Grad-to-Go, in her letters she told me I might be able to visit her at "A" school in Pensacola which is good news because thats around an 8 hour drive instead of a plane ticket to chicago. I'm curious to know if anyone has any details on visiting sailors at "A" school.

Anthony, If you do a search within groups for 3 phases of liberty, you will get an idea of the free time they get. They have to earn the phases of liberty so it's not a set thing and each rating may have slightly different requirements to move up. Some are stricter than others. Here is one description I found.
Phasing means they've reached the next level in A School. There are 2 phases. They start at Phase 1 ~ can leave base when liberty is called but must be back by 10pm, must wear uniform and have a buddy with them. Phase 2 - liberty until midnight except night before school, can wear civilian clothing, still on buddy system. Phase 3 - overnight liberty on weekends, can wear civilian clothing, still on buddy system.
I have heard of Grad and Go's getting liberty right when they get to their new base because they didn't really get a liberty after their PIR. Mostly I think you will need to wait and get the correct information from your sweety! -

Hi Anthony I don't know if you can move to Pensacola or not but they have an apartment next to corry called Ember Ridge and you could move there and it is walking distance to A school you can't live together but could srr each other every day also if can only visit you can stay in a hotel and visit but A school is 7 days a week but have free time when not in class or studying.They can't take work home must study at school only so have to spend extra time there.My daughter is married so they got an apartment there but Navy won't pay for it but didn't want to wait.

I hope she gets Liberty right when she gets to the base because I plan to visit her then. Her "A" is only 8 weeks so im not sure how many chances I will get to see her during that period. Seeing her even once would be amazing, Once she is done with "A" school I will be able to spend a few days with her when she visits her family anyways.

B's momma I know how you feel so nerve racking when they get hurt and put back.I can't wait for the sailor call Hope everything goes well for your daughter too.It's my daughter's B day today first one not with her.Got a nice letter and made me smile.She says it is all about how you look at things and God had a plan for her to come here to find out about herself and learn patience.If she had to repeat anything transfering to a new division it would just make her an even better sailor and help her with everything else.And she fiqured this all out by herself even before she finally passed her run
Jennifer sorry your son her his ankle and know how hard it is to do everything in pain that is what Nichelle has had to overcome and wanting to finish.It was hard when they sent her to Ship 6 but here she is finally.Her 098 won the Captain cup so may be she can help her new division win this one See all of you on Friday . -

My daughter called today she missed her PFA by 15 seconds. So upset and may get one last chance tomorrow. Had to call back and give the new Ship and Div. she will be moved to. Pray for the last chance and her to make it. God bless you all

Hi My name is Deborah. My daughter is in Div 136 Ship 09. She says she is now carrying the flag. Does anyone know what that means? Also I am leaving out of Sacramento California on March 25th. Anyone leaving out of Cali? would love to communicate.
Do you know when we can bring their things? As you can see I am new at this and so many questions. Hi everyone. -

They have multiple flags. Maybe they earned a new one and she's carrying it? Maybe someone got hurt and she took their place? My son was carrying their ship flag and he said it was his hardest job because it really hurts. The benefit of being a flag carrier is that they will be right out front and easy to find at PIR.
