Hi Lujos
I am hoping for a phone call also but got a letter yesterday .. She seemed to be doing fine no complaints.
Just real busy and made some friends, And that they are intergrated both male and females Oh and had a swim test this past wed, and PFA on Thurs.
It was a short letter, I think they can only write on Sundays But I`m new to all this so I could be wrong.
I hope you hear from your Son soon. I know hearing from my daughter put me at ease some what, But still need to hear her voice ..
Happy Easter !!
It's so nice to have this forum and talk to you all. Could you say the name of your sons/daughter/husband so I could tell my sons to say hi or would that be a security problem?? I too laughed at my son's letters. The description of the RDC yelling in their faces sounded funny, at least he made it so in the letter. This is from my son who would be quick to talk back to me as a teenager. I can't picture them in that situation, but I guess they have to grow up fast. I was hoping for a call on Easter, I thought with it being a holiday and Sunday they would let them call but it didn't happen! Hopefully this week. I'm anxious to hear from my other son about his injury and doctors apt. Brettany my heart goes out to you, it must be hard to be away from your husband. But I think he made a good decision joining the Navy. Especially with this economy and the lack of jobs. Hang in there!!
Oh yes! I agree! It was a good idea! The Navy is a bit scary right now but once we get into the swing of things, everything will be fine. My dad was Army growing up so I have an idea of what to expect. But being on the daughter end of things is completely different then the wife end! I do miss him... terribly, but I know it is for the best! And I am so incredibly proud of him. He had a decent job before joining... He was a manager at a movie theatre for the last 4 years, and has been there for almost 6 (since he was 16). But he wasn't really going anywhere. With this job, he will be able to gain things he would not be able to otherwise. He is also VERY smart so this decision is something that will challenge him and make him into an even stronger person!
I feel for my husband because he was one of those kids growing up that you just had to say you were disappointed in if he did something wrong. He never had to be yelled at, so this is definitely a new experience for him! I can't stress enough how proud of him I am though!!!
No new letters or anything today, only the letter I need to get my military ID and to enroll in DEERS. Nothing actually from him though.
I am definitely ready for him to come home, but the time away makes it even more exciting for graduation! And yes, they said we CAN say their first names, just not their last names. My husband's name is Josh.
Thank you Cher! It is nice having you ladies to talk to! I can't even express how much it has helped me being able to talk to you all! It has helped so much! Thank you! Hope you have a good night!
@Cher 11 2 sons OMG I`m having trouble with 1 child... Good Bless ! My daughter left on the 6th her 19th Birthday. She will be in A school and then C school in Great Lakes ..
I got a letter from her on Fri but still no call I keep my cell glued to me just in case LOL
