CoastalKat i'm so sorry. we are so lucky to have you and the next group will be just as lucky to have you and your son! will be praying.  please keep up posted so we can continue to support your boy!!

I love hearing about things like this!  We usually get mail on Thursday, so I'm not expecting anything until tomorrow.  I guess that there are always a few that don't make it...this is definately not the choice for everyone.  It takes a very strong person to deliberately put themselves through what they have chosen to.  I can't wait to see them!

Is anyone else in this division going to make the meet and greet at the Ramada?  I think we may get there in time for it.

jacketfan...my husband and I plan to attend the Ramada meet and greet.

Congratulations Kholness on your letter....sure sounds like this 9/360 team is having some fun...hope this helps them out at Captin's Cup.

Still no letter from my SR....it has been two weeks today...Please Please Mr. Postman, bring a letter to me!!!  See the DIV is inspiring me to sing, not a good idea for this voice LOL.  14 more days....OHHH I cannot wait to see everyone!!!

Our SR made a point of wishing us a happy Columbus Day in today's letter. The big deal was that they got an extra day of holiday routine because of it. He said he would really like to be able to take a nap but it is not allowed. He said he never gets more than 7 hours sleep at the most. "It is hard and I never thought I'd get used to it but I kind of am." Giving up sweets, no problem- giving up sleep, now that's an issue!
I loved hearing about their chant. And we do plan on going to the Ramada Inn in 2 weeks from tonight!
If my family and I make it out to the graduation, I'll definitely plan to go to the meet and greet! That's if the bank my SR signed us up for there ever gets back to me lol I really need money so I can buy my plane tickets and such. Where is everyone staying?

We are staying at the Spring Hill Suites in Waukegan, If you mention why you are coming they give a small discount but the place looks very clean and nice.  $99 a night...hope you can make Sadams!!

So I just got a letter from my son...he passed his PFA, so happy that's behind him!!  (letter was written last week). He said alot of RCS, Chiefs and Officers have told them if they keep it up, they will be the best division at graduation!!  He sounded so pumped up and excited.  Said he has been going hard in the paint lol.  Wow - 13 more days!!  So psyched!!
*oops RDC's
Just got a million letters from my SR... so excited. he said they can make up to 8 people go up from E2 to E3. I'm excited for that because he couldn't get E3 to begin with like he should have with the nuc program. But unfortunately my SR is colorblind so he couldn't go into that program like he wanted to. SOOO this is a great opportunity for us. Either way they all seem to be doing great. and my SR surprises me with what they are doing and how well, everyday. I never thought I'd be so proud. Now I really want to go to graduation!
Just thought about the fact that as early as this time next week we could be getting "I am a Sailor" call!!  Wow, this is really coming up quick.  Early next week we can print our gate passes!!  Starting to get so excited!!  How is every one else feeling?  :-)
Crazy excited!  The time will really fly by.  I think next Saturday will be their Captain's Cup, which I think they should do well on, then Battlestations!  My son said he passed the PFA the first time and they have done really well on all tests and challenges.  It sounds like they make a great group.  We are leaving here Wednesday and driving halfway so we will be there in time for the meet and greet on Thursday.  Can't wait to meet everyone!
A new phone is an awesome gift! I didn't get my SR a new phone but I fixed his phone by myself. He dropped his brand new droid jogging before he left and totally cracked up the screen and he is all about his electronics as well! lol so I ordered the part and fixed it for him, I'm handier than I thought lol. So I'm going to surprise him with my handy work!
