I'm particularly missing my SR today...it's been harder since I got his letter and saw how homesick he was.  He didn't expect to feel that way since he wanted this so much.  So I'm doing the mommy thing and wanting to protect him.  Hoping this last week made a difference for him.  I think it's rough on them when they can't really talk to each other at all and form bonds; makes them miss the ones they had at home even more.  Good news is only 33 days left.
Jacketfan--I agree..I had a rough night last night with everything.  I'm trying so hard to not let him know that though, because I really want to be his rock through this.  I think it will start getting easier for them as it will for us...My SR said going to church services has really helped him feel connected back home.  Just keep writing it will help them and us :)

I write daily and try to be encouraging.  I sent him several Bible verses today that help me.  My husband says that they should start building them back up again soon...hopefully when we get a letter Thursday it will be better for him by then.  It's just easier to know that they are all going through this, just like it's easier knowing that all of you feel just like I do.

JamieKaye- I had a little breakdown myself last night with everything.  I'm trying to be the rock too but some days it is hard.  I just remind myself that what he is going through is so much harder and it help  me "toughen up" lol.  Jacketfan24, I really hope your husband is right.  I could tell my SR was feeling homesick too and I'm ready for them to start instilling that sense of confidence back into them.  Praying that this next letter is more upbeat and that it is getting easier.  And without all you ladies sharing your feelings as well, I think I would be lost! Thank you!
my husband was in the Air Force and went through boot camp for that branch; it's been a number of years but I don't think it's changed much.  They are in week four this week...
I always forget that they are doing a process of breaking them down and rebuilding them back up.  You're so right that what they are dealing with is much harder.  We are almost half way done ladies.  This is probably the hardest part..well at least until their 1st deployment and when that comes along we will have had practice. :)  I hope we all get more letters this week!
any phone calls or letters today ladies? i would just love to get a call...was wondering if anyone had heard anything new?
Nothing since my 2 letters last Thursday, would love a phone call!!  The letters I received were written a week after he got there, so another letter would be great since it will be 3 weeks tomorrow!!  It's all a waiting game :-) !
I havent had any calls or letters since my last letter..I would love a phone call..
Somebody in DIV 355 got a call from her SR, she missed it, they left a message though...so maybe our call will come soon.  I was sure hoping for it to be today. Maybe tomorrow or at least sometime this week!!!

I've been keeping my phone with me everywhere I go just in case...I really don't want to miss it.  I guess it could be anytime if they earn it.  Hope they do!

me too...i have it with me everywhere. and according to the feed a few divisions got calls this evening. not going to lie. i'm pretty jealous :( but also excited for them! trying to keep a good attitude!
