Im with you the more information I get the more I don't know what is going on. I think you are the first person to I have heard of who is staying at the Residence Inn look forward to meeting you.

Hi all,

I'm brand new to this site and have so many unanswered questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My son just went in to boot camp on November 1st and I haven't gotten a letter from him yet. Any feed back on when to expect?  Leilla, your son is graduating on December 29; when did he go in?  I'm coming from Western Nevada and haven't made any reservations yet because I'm still unsure of his graduation date.  Thanks.

Welcome my son graduates on 12/29 he left 10/26 I didn't get my form letter which will have a handwritten note from him on the back. That was 9 days later still waiting for a letter and another phone call that probably won't come for at least another week. Its all about hurry up and wait!!! you can always vent here. As far as reservations you should wait for that letter then make them that will tell you his graduation date and his address to write him. You can get pretty much any question answered on this site it's wonderful.....Michelle
Thanks Michelle!

Hey mom's and girlfriends out there, has anyone got a letter word on the street is they are arriving to some. Unfortunatly I haven't got one.

I got my first letter from my son last night.  It was wonderful.  Everything he said was positive.  He said physical training was hard but he was enjoying it.  He also said there are some really cool guys in his division.  Thumbs up for Div 024!!!  Hope you all have gotten or will be getting a letter from your recruit real soon.  It is such a great feeling.  God bless all the military!  Happy Veterans Day!

It is nice to hear from them I have never gotten a letter from him. I had a gut feeling a week ago that he wasn't good, sure enough his letter was down, tired of the yelling 24/7, missing a long shower by himself, and tired of IT from those who don't listen, but then he does change some said they are starting pt training and he is enjoying that, our letters had overlapped so I'm sure he has received all the letters by now. he wants everyone to write alot, so different then when he left he didn't want to many cause he didn't want to write that much, As much as it hurts me this is good, he has lived a good 18 yrs, now he is experiencing the real world makes a person humble and a better man. Sent him words of encouragement and he will rebound I know.  Waiting for the phone call next,

Angeltoe , haven't heard from you lately hope you are good, was curious how the girlfriend situation made out, I know mentally right now my son couldn't handle that. .....Michelle

Hang in there Angeltoe we are almost at the half way point. I'm sure he is busy and doesn't have time like you to think about home. Remeber he is in his bed everynight early you don't have to worry about him driving around. My letter he sounded really down, but my brother's letter sounded better, When I can hear his voice I will be able to get a better grip on it. Just keep sending him letters I am mailing out 2-3 a week, running out of things to say at times, but making do. Glad that his girlfriend didn't break up with him. I talked to a young Marine the other day who told me that happened to him in BC needless to say his BC was very depressing but they can't talk to anyone about it, he would be considered weak and would of had to leave, so he worked through it himself he said one of the hardest thing he ever did. All their friends at home wrote the girlfriend off for doing such a awful thing to him.  Just remember everyday they wake up at boot camp they are one step closer to their goal. ( and yours of seeing him) Have a good day....Michelle

I'm SO happy my account finally got approved. I've been wanting to talk to you guys for days.  My husband left on the 25th of Oct and is set to graduate as well on December 29th. I'm so proud of him!! I got his first letters on Thursday of last week. Sounds like they have been busy!  I am 32 weeks pregnant (almost 33)...do the math and you guys can probably figure out he's missing the birth of our second child...but we had to do this for our future and our children.  I've had some seriously rough days, and so has our daughter (almost two years old).  Some days I cry, and some days I'm just so proud to know that he's out there doing this for us.  It is nice to meet you all.  <3

Welcome CrystalCVT!  Hang in there.  Good luck with your pregnancy and know there are a lot of people on this site here to support you.  You have a beautiful family and it sounds like your husband really cares for you all.  You should be very proud of him.

Hi Crystal glad to have someone to chat with, My son arrived at GL on the 26th and as a mom it had been a rough journey, my first and only letter so far he was down,(he is 18) missing home so much. I'm hoping that these next weeks will be the build up period. It must be hard for you doing it all alone, but I get the sacrifice he is doing to support his family, I admire him for doing that you should be very proud. will you be able to go to graduation? we are driving from NJ just don't trust the weather to fly, not sure what my son's plan are after if he will just take his 5 days or come home until the 8th it is all about hurry up and wait. Keep in touch it helps.....Michelle
