THANKS for starting this forum for 09/ 075. I am so happy to have found it. My son wrote to say a mom had started it for their group.

Welcome to the site. I am glad you found us. Where are you from? we also have a FB page. it ishttps://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand please visit us there also you have to like the page then once you do you can go to the forums and click on our page. Please join us there as well. There is a lot of information there too.

Yikes!!  Mighty cold at Great Lakes this morning!!!

It's very cold here in Dayton, Ohio. We went from 53 degrees at noon to 32 by 5:00 yesterday. It's all too weird weather wise. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I mailed 2 letters off yesterday and I have another one about ready today. I did ask my SR if there was someone in this DIV who isn't getting letters to let me know. My SR is firstborn too. I will be celebrating my 51st bday with him on 3-2-12. (# days late) I can't think of a better gift. I'm finishing up his room today as well. I have a large bag of clothes I am donating to Goodwill. I also have divided his clothes into regular clothes and Navy clothes. My SR was in JNROTC for 4 years so I have all those clothes too. His grandmother is already planning a trip to San Antonio so she and the SR can celebrate their bday's together. There was Groupon for a great hotel deal in SA. Dates don't work but at least we are getting the lay of that land. Have a great day.

You must be sending that weather down to Florida.  Of course I am sure it is not as cold here as it is there.   We had a high of about 60 today.   Which is kind of cold for us.   I had to go buy winter jackets for us when we come up for graduation and it was hysterical,   I never had to buy such a heavy coat,  down here it is usually a hoodie or light jacket.  I ended up calling one of my friends that lived in NJ while I was in the store because I had no idea.

I have a SR in ship/division.

Hi glad to have another mom out there with our division.   There is also a FB page under forums that you can also go to for more info as well.   the link is https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand I think you have to click like before you can see the forums page.    There are several mom's on that page as well.   Also the Trivia Tuesdays information is there also.   I think we all are ready to see a picture of our kids., so we need to hopefully win 1 of the contests.

Yup, I visit there - both the RTC page and the Forums under that page.  However, I'm keeping fairly quiet on the FB pages because I'd rather it not be so obvious who my SR is.  Since FB uses my real name. . .

I think you can change your name on FB.   Understandable though

ColoradoMom, where do you live?  I live in Castle Rock..

Leesa421, I am in the southwest corner of the state.

Happy Birthday to your SR!!!
