Hello all fellow shipmothers, girlfriends, best friends, aunties, grammas, sisters, etc...

Just wondering who is in the same ship and division as my son.  I live in Wisconsin and will be staying at the Navy Lodge for the PIR ceremony.

My son will be going to Groton after PIR.  I haven't gotten a phone call from him yet but am excited to hear from him.

yay i got a letter yesterday so excited he actually said the food was good! sounded positive so 5 weeks from today is our time to shine!

Anyone get any phone calls lately?  I sent a newsletter out last week and it was returned to me today..."please add an additional $.20 for postage."  I am little irked that he didn't receive this one but it is my own fault!

no phone call.. maybe tomorrow? or maybe next week since it will be their 3rd training week. I want to hear his voice!!!

No phone call for us either.  I hope it's tomorrow also - otherwise he probably can't get me while I'm at work.  I'm anxious to hear his voice also; I just hope I don't cry and miss the whole conversation!

I may not get a call anyway...I think he will probably call Alyssa.

That's a bummer; will she let you know what he said; how he sounds?

I'm sure she will let you know what he says if he does call her :) Maybe he will have time to make two calls!

Yes, she will tell me if he calls her. She will probably call me immediately afterward and maybe FB me while he is talking to her....lol

I just got a call!!!! He said he got to call because he did well on his PT test! He sounded SO good and he said their division is doing pretty good but having a hard time coming together and getting along! With 80 guys I can see how that might be a problem! lol

Congratulations!  My son didn't do so great on his fitness test, was a little shy of the 12 minutes for the 1 1/2 miles (or whatever that requirement is); I hope that doesn't mean he won't get to call :(.

I'm sure it doesn't completely rule out him getting to call! My bf just said that was why he got to call! He said he got to take a 30 minute shower today. Boy was he happy about that!

Chris didn't pass the run on his PT test...because the WHOLE month of december I was on his rear end about running (he used to do track in HS) and he kept telling me he was fine.  Well it has been at least 6 months since he ran. I don't know what he was expecting. I wrote "maybe next time you will listen to your mommy!"  I sure hope they can learn to get along soon!
