Hey ladies it was nice to meet you from afar. So proud of our boys. Very happy that Chris does not leave until Sat am.  Had lunch and now just sitting in hotel room relaxing. It is so nice to be able to chill out for a few hours before we need to send him back.  Heading to the airport around 3:30 am to hang out a few hours.

Hoping you are all enjoying your time with your sons.

Hi Everyone! Weren't they just so wonderful to see today?! I was (and still am of course) so very proud of them all!
I hope everyone has a special day with their sons and enjoys every minute we have to share with them.
Enjoy the day!

Traci

Good Sunday morning to all you.  Well my son called last night and arrived to San Antonio at METC.  He said it is amazing. They are the first to use the facilities for Navy.  He was very excited about his dorm room.  He said METC is huge.  They had to get their own ride once they arrived to the airport.  They are making adults out of them quickly.

Had a great time relaxing with Chris the past two days.  A little tired though.  Steph, great meeting you and spending some time at airport.  Sorry I was not able to meet or spend time with all of my new friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful time with your Sailors.  They all looked fantastic.  You should all be very proud.

Hello Ladies!

I was not able to log on here while I was away. I was very happy to put some names with faces and to be able to say "hello" to many of you. I regret that I was unable to spend any quality time with most of you. Mumz, thank you for saving me a seat and putting up with my chatting during graduation. Ann and Traci - very nice to meet you and say hello! I hope to meet again sometime soon. Traci - don't forget to contact me so that we can have some wine while you are in Houston! Lisa (nursemom) - it was wonderful spending some time with you at the airport. You are a SAINT for lugging your ex-hubby and his brother with you everywhere! Paula (misspaula) thank you for visiting with me and my son at breakfast in the airport. I enjoyed getting to know you better and I know that we will stay in touch through our boys at the very least. :0)  (and FB!!)

You are all beautiful women and have incredible young men that you raised. I am proud of them all and I know that everyone of you are also. I am grateful that my son had your sons to stand shoulder to shoulder with through bootcamp. I am sure that they needed the support at times (I know that Ryan did) I am also extremely grateful to have had all of you to lean on through this experience. You all made my days easier to bare. I would like to be able to stay in contact with you. I may not follow this group any longer, but please send me private message to say hello and I will do the same.

Good luck to all of your Sailors for their future. I know they will all do amazing things!

Best wishes,

Stephanie

Nursemom~

We were on the plane when the boys arrived and got there rooms. Dustin called his aunt that was already back in San Diego and said the same thing about METC.

We were at the airport also, I am sorry I didnt meet any of you guys. We walked from the gate back over to the main terminal around 9 so take my sister to her flight then we hung out closer to the exit after that. My son had watch the  night before and got only 1 hr and 30 mins sleep so he wanted us to leave so he could rest at the gate for a little while before getting on the plane.

Ragdoll and Nursemom-

Have you found a board that we can follow when they are in San Antonio?

Do ou guys plan o n going to that Graduation around July 31st?

Anyways thanks to all the ladies for everything.

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer -

I met your son at the gate and he had said that you left already. I was sad about that one. He was at the gate with the boys and none of them were able to get any rest. Too bad you didn't come down that way! We had breakfast around 8:30 and then moved over to the gate by 9am.  Oh well. I have not found a new site and I would love to plan on attending that graduation. That would be a good time to plan and meet!! ;0)

I will keep you posted if I find a site. I am guessing that there is not one yet for HM San Antonio! Maybe we need to create!?!?!? I will check with JessicaMom or Dianne.

Stephanie~

We must of passed in the halls. I just got off the phone with him and he said he did meet you guys and told me ALL the moms were at the gate when he got back :(

He is very excited about the new rooms and how much time they have. It is funny they all have been to the exchange getting NEEDED supplies like mine bought new bed linens haha

They were on there way back again for items they forgot.

Yes we need to start a new site for HM San Antonio you are so lucky you live in Texas. From what it sounds like they will be able to have liberty every weekend and in a few weeks they can even stay off base over night. I might need to plan a trip out there before graduation.

Jennifer

I started this site:  http://www.navyformoms.com/group/sailorsinaschoolforcorpsmen/forum/...  Sorry we missed each other, but we can start to get info for SA HM A school and place it here. Since we are the first ones to go here - we may actually provide some assistance to others by what we learn!
