In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 11 Div 134 PIR 4/27/12
I just got the letter late yesterday. My son arrived at GL on 3/1. I thought we might be pushing it to make the 4/27 date, but happily surprised. Got a GREAT note on the back of the letter... Has he changed this much already that he seems to really miss us? Wow!
Hoping to connect with other 11/134 moms. Let me know. :D Hang in there! We're gonna make it, just like our kids! :D

@ hendersonc thanks for writing for me, just recieved three letters... she said she followed my advice and is staying to herself... she is a section leader... when you write your daughter tell her my daughter is the one braiding all the girls hair . she says that keeps her out of trouble... i am also staying at the navy lodge... hopefully we can meet.

Hello friends!!! I promise, I'm still here. I can't access the site while at work and I work A LOT! I do, however, get updates to the discussion via email to my phone. I have a little difficulty trying to keep it all straight... but I will try to do a better job.
It would seem we have more questions than answers... So, maybe I can help with that a little bit. I have received 3 letters so far. I understand some of you received phone calls earlier this week. My son called, but I missed it. :( Actually, he left me 3 messages and I am absolutely heartbroken that I didn't get to talk to him. I sobbed for an hour. Now I keep the volume up at work and tell anyone that glares at me to "stuff it!"
Here's what I know... They tend to get into a little trouble...not staying quiet and in line... that type of thing in the beginning... so they get something called IT.... which, I gather is extra push-ups, marching, whatever...Now, I think it has more to do with overall performance... The division is "integrated" so the AROC, Yeoman and Dental Yeoman are female. Letters get sent home on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. They've had their swimming quals and their dental exams. My son had his 2 bottom wisdom teeth pulled... YEOUCH! Div 134 has a bit of trouble with marching...staying in step and in ranks... but some of them have marching experience from band and such and are helping to get that worked out. He tells me the food is "pretty good." LOL! They make their beds every morning and shine boots every night. (I thought that was funny.) Overall, he tells me things are pretty good. They're starting to get things together and work more like a team. (I was very happy to hear that part.) Most of his division has to ship out Saturday... but he said it depended on your job and where you were headed. So, you might check with your SR for specifics on that. Oh, he also said there was an opportunity to "earn" phone calls home... but he said he's earned a couple but hasn't been able to "cash in" on them yet... (That was part of one of his phone messages.) So, while I doubt he'll call again before Battle Stations... I'm hoping I get to hear his voice soon.
I hope this has helped... Of course, having spoken to your SR's... you probably know a lot more than I do! I'm a little lost on this end... and missing my Bug. I am planning to go to the Missouri N4M Meet and Greet in St Louis this weekend... Are any of you in Missouri?
Oh, and I fixed the PIR date on the discussion group. Sorry about that. Anyway... I hope you're all doing well. Hugs!!!

I'm new to this site but I read somewhere that "IT" means Intensive Training so your description sounds about right. (LOL)
But what is AROC? I haven't seen that yet.
By the way, My son is SHIP 7 DIV 129 but I decided to "cruise through" your group as well because a friend's son is in DIV 134.

My son did call me last week on Tuesday... he is in Div 134... he did not elaborate that the Division was getting into that much trouble... He did say he was the first AROC and had already been "fired". He didn't seem disappointed... said the AROC gets in trouble for the entire division but I didn't know what an AROC was till I just read these posts... He seemed very happy and spirits were very high... it allowed me to sleep much better.. Keep sharing though... I look forward to the posts...

Well my daughter said the DIV is finally pulling it together as well and im glad of that. She said some have gotten in trouble and pushed back 2 weeks but for the most part its going pretty good and getting easier as the weeks go by.Im so glad that she has passed 2 of the important test(lol) swimming being one even though she went in not knowing how to swim(lol). Im happy for my baby girl.
