Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

yes I did get one phone call, it was on a wednesday about 3:30 our time. We are in Texas. I was so excited. Then also got an informational call. The had his dob wrong and needed me to fax Birth Cert and SS but is SS card was in his wall at BC. I have gotten 4 letters so far and 3 came last friday. None today. But thats ok I just feel better diknowing things are going better for the division. Im soo excited about PIR day....cant wait.

I received 3 letters from my SR today!!! So excited! I sent him a questionnaire and in it he says that BC is hard, but he can handle it and that it is getting better. Says that the yelling has descreased, slightly. Said that his least favorite things about BC are the beds and showering because he said it doesn't even feel like you get clean. Hmmmm, must be the water pressure or maybe the water is soft. He mentioned the Bavo Zulu he was awarded for giving a shipmate the Heimlich last week and said that it is something that helps the entire division because it cancels out some demerits that people have gotten. Said they got their dog tags and fitted for the rest of their uniforms. Hope everyone is receiving letters and calls.

So glad you heard from your son! I'm glad to hear that things are going better for the division! I wonder what they won a flag for? It's got to boost their morale and make them try harder! No mail for me today but hopefully soon! Hearing about what your SR says is almost as good as hearing from my SR! Have a great weekend!

I'm not sure what they won the flag for, but I'm happy they won a flag! I totally agree with you....hearing what the SR's from 155 say is almost like hearing from my own SR! I wish we had more Mom's in this division that would post. I've asked my son to let the other SR's in his division know about this website so that they can let their mothers know. Hope you receive a letter and/or call soon.

I rec'd 3 letters from my son on friday, boy was I excited. He also said it was tough getting used to the showers, but he has adjusted. Some of his letters as there were a few in each envelope were not dated so I was trying to piece together the sequence per what I had read on here. The last two were dated and he sounded really pretty good. He also mentioned issues with some guys constantly getting them in trouble for excessive talking and that they got in trouble but the last letter said that the division was coming together and the team effort was coming into play and was making things alot better. He said he really enjoyed marching that he found it to be very relaxing. The days fly by as they are very busy and studying every opportunity even in the chow line. He sounded really good and as a result I feel a whole lot better too. I miss him alot and cannot wait to see him. Thank you flgirltwo for the directions to the photos, I have really enjoyed viewing them and even think I may have spotted him in a photo of them marching. Some were saying it was our division and others thought it was another. However it was then confirmed by another parent that it was 155 by the flag they were carrying.

Thanks for sharing your SR's letters with us. It truly does feel like we are hearing our own SR's thoughts when the Mom's share their SR letters! I know it sounds crazy that we get so excited about receiving letters from our SR's, but I do too! Someone pointed out to me that they only get 3 minute showers and that may be part of the probelm with feeling clean! I think I'll take my SR back to my hotel so he can take a nice long shower after graduation (if that's what he wants to do)! lol I miss my son terribly and I am counting the days until graduation. Only 25 more days! I look forward to seeing your posts about the letters and/or calls you might receive in the future!

My son wrote in one letter that the communal shower has twelve shower heads on two poles and they take showers 40 recruits at a time!!

I called my daughters cell phone last night so she could play the message on the machine for me! I got to hear my son's voice! As usual he talked fast and was very low toned (guess he didn't want others to hear?) Voice sounded deeper, but maybe the machine! Anyway - he said things were coming together and he was fine and that they were on Week 3 Day 3, so Monday should be Week 3 Day 5 for them! He was anxious to do the Marlinspike and get into what he called "the real training"! Just thought I'd let you know what he said in his little short message.

Thanks flgirltwo, it is great to hear what the other SR's are saying! I think they all speak lower because they really don't have any privacy. Thank you for sharing what your SR said!

Yes, Flgirltwo, it is Week 3 Day 5 for Division 155 so they should be doing the Marlinspike today! Praying that the division worked together as a team and they passed with flying colors!
