My son arrived at Great Lakes on 4/13/11 we got 15 second phone call that he arrived safe. Is there any Navy Moms out with same Ship/Div? I know no news is good news.. I am already looking forward to PIR on 6/10/11... I especially did not like "The Box" naturally, I went through my SR's pocket hoping to find a note!  His jeans were all rolled UP!  It made me wonder what he went through before taking those clothes off.. I got the form letter... Thank god for this website.... I am absoutely hooked!!!

thank you lemon!!!
My husband is in the same division as your son. .  My husbands jeans were rolled up as well and i was really confused! Why was this?
They must have been going through something before taking off their clothes... My son said that they were up for fourty hours straight and he wrote... The only thing that blowed was staying up for 40 hours on the first day! Hahahaha.... They read/write their mail on Sundays we usually get them Wed/Thurs... You can ask your husband about the rolled up jeans... I wonder if our boys got their peanut butter shot... its a shot up their butt.  I heard it was painful..

My fiance is also in 195, he told me about shots in his cheeks lol and biceps, ouch!

3 Weeks down, 5 to go

I've always heard there pants are rolled up when they get on that machine that measures their feet for their boots.

My son's were rolled up too but that was 1-1/2 years ago I know I'm still here and I am totally hooked on this site.  Welcome!  You should be getting a phone call this week if this is week 3  look for the "847" area code and most on the time the 3rd week call is on a Thursday.  Good Luck

thank you so much for this information! hopefully we will be getting the call on thursday! :)
Thanks for the heads up about the "847" area code!!! When I saw it appear on my TV I flew to the phone! I knew it was my SR LOL.. ofc my other boy got to the phone first... and said that our SR sounds wonderful and is having the time of his life... no complaints... Thank God.... HooYah!
So they already got the peanut butter shot. OUCH
