For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 069 and 070.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

The only reason I got a call today was business related.....have not had a personal call since the 19th. No mail either...really glad we are halfway

I am sad as well. I just hope it isn't my son who is causing the trouble, can't imagine it would be (haha) but I would feel terrible if it were.
Shannon - curious, why did you get to talk to your son on Christmas Eve? Did some SR's get to call while others didn't? Did he share anything with you we might find useful?
Thanks for sharing ladies - this is my life line to my son at the moment. I never imagined I would have such a difficult time during this 8 weeks. I am not the 'worry' kind of mom. :-( But alas....my nerves have the best of me!!

Division 069 got a hit on their inspection and lost calling privileges on Christmas Eve. Sounds like there are some issues amongst the girls......just stuff I pick up from brief communication. Hasn't been any direct info.

Ducky - We're "girls" too!! I was poking fun at me. I have very little faith that I could have pulled off what these kids are doing when I was that age - especially as a "GIRL"! Sorry - wasn't meant to offend.

I'm not offended.....but I am frustrated that we can't be in contact because the group cannot work as a team, especially since I am hearing how other divisions are doing so well and getting calls literally every other day. My SR doesn't put up with crap and I am sure she is equally frustrated.

I received two letters today. She is still in good spirits but they had to stand the entire holiday for some infraction. She wrote one letter standing. They have not regained any privileges at all including phone, and curtains for the toilet. Overall she enjoys it, finds the guys in the division funny and is very upbeat. She says that there are a lot of really immature girls in her group and they keep getting into trouble which is why we don't get the calls. Oh well, we are almost there. Her biggest gripe is the underwear......grannie panties.
