Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 013 and 014
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

My SR says the same thing. It's better and they've all become friends but he is still quite homesick. Misses family & friends. I'm sure it is so disheartening to read that. If we could only pick up the phone to call & ask what's going on. That is why the BC thing is so tough on all. I'm sure the kids feel the same way. We have our family/friends to lean on. They have their Navy family but it's not the same. They'll get through it & so will we ! Stay strong !

I am missing my SR today badly!!! This "Hell Week" lives up to it's name! Be glad for Wednesday. At least I think that's when it's over. 23 more days! Can't believe it! I remember that first week I felt like I was turned inside out not knowing how he was. The Navy is taking good care of our SRs! Come on Div. 013! Sock it to em' this week!! Give em' H E double hockey sticks! Ha! Come on ladies, Stay Strong! I crack up at all the posts because I am thinking the exact same things as well, at first I thought I was being a hover mother, but I couldn't help it. Then, after reading every ones posts we are all the same! Seriously, God, Thank you for the mothers and loved ones represented here. Keep us strong. Continue to be with each SR, in the way that SR needs you. Give them courage and determination to do this thing and do it proudly. Bind them together as brothers and sisters, bless their efforts with honor. In the coming weeks as BC winds down, keep their minds sharp, their hands quick, and give wings to their feet. Bless our beloved sons and daughters. Amen. Ya'll have a great rest of the week.

Everything I heard about 10 days ago was that they wouldn't be calling for about 2 weeks. Lets hope they got some letters in the mail this past Sunday. I'm certainly waiting for that!!

I am glad they are doing so well too!! I haven't gotten a letter yet this week but normally I receive letters from my SR on Thursday or Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed. Especially this week. It has been a really hard week of missing my recruit it makes my day to get a letter from him. And I know I'm really pushing it but a phone call would be awesome.

no phone calls here ! It's been two weeks since he was able to call. My phone is attached to me always hoping maybe today will be the day. Keep our fingers crossed.
SallyM, my son said the same thing about their division. They scored well and are doing much better as a division.
I can't wait to hear all the stories of BC. Wish we had a week to be together before he leaves for A school.

Well I'm excited. I got a letter today! He sounds like everything is going great! I believe everyone is doing fine and getting along great.He said there are 26 days left and firefighting was next, so I'm almost positive this is week five.Anyway it's coming closer to the end so that's all that matters.I hope everyone else gets letters. I thing we might even get a call this weekend.

Yes, thanks everyone for posting news from BC! I haven't received a letter since one my SR wrote the fist sunday he was there! Can't wait to hear from them, but living off the tidbits as Barb said! :) Looking forward to another Friday passing by! We are getting closer! :)

Got a letter from my SR today ! It was dated 10/27 and he said they were on day 4-1. He said their division was doing great and could be in the running for Hall of Fame Division. (whatever that is!) Sounds impressive though. He also said while he was writing his letter, at 2300 hrs., one of the recruits fell out of bed from the top bunk. Paramedics came and took him away. They thought maybe he had a concussion & possibly a broken bone. Poor kid. His last name starts with an M. My son is Div. 014. I pray everything is alright and he'll be back to training in no time. He said they had to get up at 0300 on first day of hell week and do their physical testing. That would be really tough on little sleep. Wish them all luck!
