Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 025 and 026

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Three letters waiting for me in the mailbox today! 026 mom's, has your SR mentioned being in a test division? Does he mean a PUSH division? He said the list of what they are doing day to day probably isn't right for them because they are a test division.

He also said he was doing is swim test ...letter was dated 10/22, but that's a Tuesday. So who knows, lol

Great for the mail :) I'm betting it's push too....

My son mentioned that he was suppose to grad 11/6 but was moved up. Is that push ? Haven't heard anything about 'test' division. Hopefully I'll get a letter this week with some details.
So glad u received some letters!!!

I was in a hurry when I posted, lol! I think he wrote the wrong date on the letter. Postmark is 10/28 so I think hee wrote it 10/27...

Essie. Aahhh sorry to hear that!! He has prob been working, standing watch or in sick bay on call days. Not that it helps hearing that. Because i know its agonizing waiting to hear something!!
Give it till the end of the week for mail. I'm in California and sometimes it takes a whole week to get here. Hang in there!!

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to share some stuff. Received a letter from my son and thought you might be interested in some of what he shared about BC.

I had sent him 2 questionnaires with a bunch of yes, no or maybe replies to questions I had. I wasn't sure if he would find them annoying but he said not at all and that he wanted me to send more in addition to my regular letters.

So here are some things I asked about.

He likes the food. His division is getting into some trouble but that they're getting better. They are doing the weeks 'in order' and were on week 3 last Sunday. He said that week 3 and 4 are suppose to be the hardest. They don't tell the SR's what to expect in advance, they just find out as they go. Definitely is adjusting and was upbeat. Said the time is FLYING BY (kind of surprised to hear that but probably because they're so busy). He wants as much mail as his family can send. Also wants pictures of family etc.  Doesn't go to church because they give him a choice of church, or shower and write letters and he wants to write letters. Said the hardest part of BC is the inspections. Does not need me to send anything else, like bandaids, writing paper, stamps etc. He had the flu last week but is better now.

oh ya, I asked him if he was a perfect folder yet...  he said "getting there". ha

Okay, that's it. Hope everyone else is receiving mail and getting some good news from your SR's!

Take Care

Letters here too, sounds more positive and counting the days, just like us :)  Over the Ricky Crud (thank God) and working hard.  Misses & loves us dearly (who is this person ?)   Stay strong Moms (&wives) - they are working their butts off !

So sorry essie :-(

Mine keeps telling us he misses and loves us dearly, too!! And thank you for how we raised him, that he couldn't ask for better parents. Wow! I mean, he was never a bad or rebellious kid, just not quite so open with his feelings. He is going to church every sunday, too. Glad for that.

Sorry Essie 91. Sure that was hard to hear. Take care.

Hi All,

My son's gf messaged me- she said her latest letter said that 7 of the guys in 026 are planning to go into the city for some real Chicago Pizza after PIR. My son must be talking it up- he wrote in my letter that they have personal pan pizza on Fridays and most of the guys are totally amazed by it because they've never seen it before.

So sounds like some of us will all be sharing Pizza that night together!!

That's too funny! Little Caesar's here in MI used to do personal pan pizzas. And Pizza Hut has them, too. But not Chicago Style. That sounds really good! Wonder if my guy is one of them? I went to a pizza place in Chicago way back in 1988. It was soooo good!
