Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 041 and 042

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in Div 041 as well. I got a call on Saturday and he sounded frustrated as well. But I received a real letter today and he sounded much more upbeat. I guess they really pulled together as a team for the first time recently. I hope this is an upward trend for them.

I believe it will be!  The training and the experience is really going to change them into proud mature young men!!!  Praying for them everyday and that they make some good friendship bonds also!!

Well I got a great surprise about 5 minutes ago!! Blake called me from Navy boot camp!!! He wanted to make sure his cousin Erika filled out and turn in the paperwork for her and her husband to be able to pick him up for Thanksgiving, lol!! Loving the fact he will be with her for the holiday!! Missing my boy but he sounds good!!  I am so proud of him.

I got another call this morning from my SR asking for phone numbers for security reasons.  He said his div 041 is doing better, no IT yesterday. He sounded good and said he started getting our letters (yay) but really hasn't had time to write us yet.  I hope everyone has either gotten calls or letters from their SR's.  I hope it's a good day for all.

I was glad to hear from my guy today, too (letter). He also said they are doing better. :)

Hey everybody! My son is Div 041 going to A school for DC

just got a letter from my SR.  They have decided to pull his wisdom teeth since they haven't come in completely!  UGH - I'm so worried about him.  When I talked to him last week he had a sinus infection!  I can't imagine how miserable he will be trying to make it thru boot camp having his wisdom teeth pulled!  I don't understand why can't wait until it's over.  A school doesn't start until Jan 6th.  He said a lot of guys are getting booted for various things.  He said he's trying to stay strong but having a hard time with people constantly yelling at him! Sigh..

Ship 11, Div 042 - Happy Mom! Just got a letter from my SR!   I can't believe it. He says it's miserable but he's fine. Says he heard from a lot of the other guys that he impressed an RDC the day he wrote the letter. Yay! He's says the food is great. They had ribs, which is one of his favorite foods. He mentioned two friends that flew out of LAX with him. So I feel better. Hope everyone is getting letters too!!

Has anyone in DIV 041 heard of the super eight? Is your son one of them?

I haven't heard anything about tha super eight yet.....is your SR one of them? I'm anxiously awaiting a letter hopefully tomorrow.

Yeah, he's one of them... I guess 8 of them got there a couple of days before the rest of the DIV so they had to do a lot of cleaning and learning how to do things and then they had to show the others when they got there. I guess those 8 have a bond because of being constantly yelled at for 36 hrs...lol. I thought it would be neat to know his friends moms.

My SR arrived on the 21st. Nice to hear that those 8 have developed bonds. If mine happens to be one of them I will let you know. What state are you from? We are from Washington.
