While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 089 and 090
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Wow, I just got a call from my sr too! Mine sounded good. He thinks that tomorrow will be 3-1.

My Sr Hubby called 30 plus min the pay phone was not working he had to try 3 different ones lol and also said today is 2-5 tomorrow is 3-1

Stuck at work and missed the call from my SR. He said he only had about 5 minutes as he was one of the last to get to use the phone today so he left me a voice mail. He said he just received a letter from me dated 1/2 on Saturday so apparently it's taking over a week to get their mail. Also, he had made a good friend there that got medically separated which my husband tells me means he is discharged. I feel bad for his friend. It's got to be tough. I also feel bad for my son, but am confident he will make it. He said it's been pretty easy lately but starting soon that will all change and that it will get really tough for a while. He said he sent his battle stations info in a letter he mailed yesterday. It was great hearing his voice again and knowing he's doing what he's got to do. He's counting the days - he said 25 - and so am I.

I missed my call as well on Monday, I was at work and the only one there. Of course the time he calls the office phones started to ring. I have not been able to talk to my SR yet, both times he had called I could not answer. I can just set and cry, I miss him so much, I have only received one letter so far. Thank God for you all on here, this how I find out what is going on up there. My SR had been able to reach his father my ex, he has share some info but not sure if it's everything that was said. The rate I'm going I'm not going to get to talk to him until Graduation, I sat around all weekend glued to my phone praying for a call, no it had to be on a Monday when I'm at work.

I missed my SR's call as I was at work. His younger brother is home from college so he took the call. Glad they had a chance to talk. SR had his wisdom teeth out last week. From what was relayed to me, he sounded good. I am so glad someone was here to answer the phone, mid afternoon.

I'm so sad to hear this. I am almost done with working almost 18 hrs straight at the hospital. Because of this, I missed my SR's call. He left a message. He's coming home. Very sad. I'm wondering what is going on in div 089. My SR looked so forward to becoming a Sailor. There are no words to express how I feel. I wish all of you well and will be thinking of you on Feb. 7. Congrats to your SR's :)

My sailor has said something about them being the largest and therefore being the loudest, but nothing about them being the worst. I only saw one comment regarding it being the worst and it was yesterday a mom relaying what her sailor thinks is being said.

RyansMom: That is very sad that these SRs are being told this. My guess is that their RDCs are telling them this most likely untrue info to motivate them...in a very negative way, in my opinion. Happens in every PIR group that some are told horrible things about how they are doing...please assure your son that this is normal protocol for some RDCs, it is used to motivate them, and that you know they are not the worst division and will do great!
