OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 105 - 106

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So, we are supposed to use this page so that we can get to know each other better. I will go first.
We live in Kansas. Our oldest turned 18 the day he left for MEPS. So proud of him! I do miss him terribly! I still get misty-eyed s lot. Hope that this gets easier.

Hi BootsnPanama!  My daughter left on 1/12.  She is a military brat, meaning we lived everywhere.  I am currently in IL.  My daughter turns 19 the day after PIR!  SO proud of her!  She is my baby, proud of both of my daughters!  I had tears of worry and sadness last Friday, but I finally received letters and they turned to tears of joy!  So proud of her!  It's not easy for her, but she is making it!

I'm so glad you got some letters. I'm still waiting on mine. PIR will be a double celebration!

Hopefully soon!

Hello Fellow Members of PIR 3/6/2015 :) Will the day come quick enough?? I miss my son like crazy! I tear up a lot driving to/from work- gets me every time. We're from St. Louis MO area; and I could not be more proud of my son!! He is 18years.. graduated high school and was keeping down a full time job for awhile (since he graduated HS)- he realized he was worth more! There is so much more to offer in this world then where is roots are.I write him every single day... sometimes a couple times through out the day. Looking forward to hugging him!! And just knowing that he is "okay". God Bless our Recruits!

AMEN!

I'm right across the river!!!

I'm probably closer than you think Worried Mom :) I try not to give too much information as I'm not aware of the exact security guidelines. I do plan on attending the Sarges Meet and Greet :) Hope to meet some of the N4M members! After all- we're all in the same boat!

OPSEC is always best, never know who is lurking on our discussions :)  Are you on the closed FB group for PIR 03/06?

I was not aware of a closed Facebook for PIR 3/6/2015

Lead me the way :)  I want to sign up for it all. There is no so thing as too much information.

Especially when it involves my heart (my son)!

Thank you! I love N4M's

I don't know if that worked.  Trying to find out how to copy and paste it.  There are a couple of Closed FB groups for PIR 03/06

One is:  PIR 03-06-15 NAVY BOOT CAMP 7 DIVISIONS (101-106 &917)

There is another one:  PIR 03-06-15 Navy Boot Camp

The first one is more active, but both provide good information and fellow parents, wives, husbands, girlfriends of SRs

Praying this morning that our SRs are working as a team, being respectful, and passing tests.
