Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 311 AND 312

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Lori aka Hans mom. I'm sorry to hear your son was sad, also. I'm sure that makes you missing him that much harder. It's a huge adjustment for everyone. It's been really hard for me, too and for my other kids. We are all close and having my son gone is weird for all of us. The only plus is no arguments here and there with my two older kids!!! Keep writing to him and encouraging him. We are going to the graduation, too. Can't wait!

My Daughter  is in Div 311, I understand what you are going through

Also, can you tell me how to find/join the RTC FB page?

I am flying out of providence.

Good Afternoon,

My son is also DIV 311. I received my phone call on 8/8 as well. My son is also homesick and when he wrote after the call he said that everybody is and that there was not a dry eye in the place. I think they are all doing fine. His recruiter also said that no news is good news. We all miss them and my sons has had a somewhat rough time as well. 30 more days. Hope the time passes quickly. I am booking my hotel this week. I am looking into the Ramada Waukegan and I am driving onto the base because I do not trust shuttles and taxi's. Does anyone else have any suggestions on possible hotels?

Please do check the reviews on the Ramada Inn at Trip Advisor,  before booking there (hint hint).

Trip Advisor

Ellen0502 any hints on the holiday in express?

Does anyone has a child who is in 311 that is also an STG? I am trying to figure out whether they will be going straight to San Diego for A school or staying at Great Lakes first. I was trying to figure this out so I know how much liberty my son may have after graduation.

Hello

My SR is also on ship 11. We also are counting down the days .we will be at the meet and greet on Thursday.

Hi, I am not a mom, but my SR is my husband. He too, is div 312 with PIR 9/18. Nice to meet you through messaging. :) This site helped me get through the first two weeks for sure, and I still look daily, although not obsessively like in the beginning. How are you doing? Do you plan on attending PIR?

Dave7val My son is in 312, too. Have you received a call yet? I haven't yet and it's making me crazy waiting!
Hey ladies this is val. I heard from my son August 8. I was expecting a call this last weekend too. Disappointed when I didn't get it. My hubby said probably won't hear from him but every couple weeks. I'm definitely going to pir. So nice to meet you all.
