I was just logging on to  see how the voting was going.  I hadn't been on for a while.  Hunter green.  OK  I am so ready for a letter or something to let me know how he is doing.  I am driving my other kids nuts.  I think we checked the mail 4 times yesterday and of course with the snow and crud...it was running late.  This morning we are starting off with ice.  SCREAM:)  Hope you Ladies have a lovely day.  Talk to you soon.
Remember when booking to ask for Military Discounts... some will automatically give them to you, others won't unless you specifically ask for them.  We are staying on base at the Military Lodge!

Quiltblue,

Is the Military Lodge the same as the Navy Lodge?? If so that is where we are staying, have great rates, $65 per night. By the way i think our group color is Hunter Green, so you can add this to your list, if your keeping one. Thanks

I finally got letters from my son today! He is doing really well and has been made a section leader. He had his wisdom teeth pulled, and besides the 5 shots he git, all is good. He says he has met a lot of good guys and has several good friends. He said as long as they do as they were told, life was easy. He said Sunday was the first day they could mail anything. He also said they should be able to call soon.

I hope each of you get a letter soon!! It has lifted a huge weight off of my mind. Our boys are surviving and are doing good.

Take care!! Bubbas mom
I'm so happy to hear that letters are arriving.  I'm anxious to find out if my SR is still alive and how he is doing! (lol) I truly hope all of you ladies have a wonderful day!
Great news on getting letters Bubbasmom. So happy he is doing well. I hope we all get them in the next few days... Have a great day everyone!!
I got our first letter today from our SR. Things are going well, passed all his physical test, running , swin etc. Sounds a little homesick, but other that that things are going well.
I got a few letters today!!!!  All seems well, a little homesick at times, but seems to be breezing thru it and making friends!  Happy Day....Happy Day
We got letters yesterday.  Our SR sounds great, confident that he can do this.  He has been made section leader.  Has been making beds and folding laundry...how is that different from home?  :)  He sent a letter to his 3 younger brothers and the were all huddled around the oldest while he read it to them.  He couldn't finish the letter, he started crying.  Next thing I know all 3 boys are crying.  Oh my.  I love this life.  Our daughters are waiting on their letter.  Said he has passed all the swimming and sit ups and running...and what ever else he had to do so far.  So happy to hear from him.  Have a nice night Ladies.  Talk to you soon.

You have the largest group on N4Ms for this PIR!!! Congrats on that!  Chrissy099, go to the top of your page for this discussion and the options button click on that, edit your discussion topic to add Hunter Green!  HooYah!  Make sure you are all friends!

Wasn't it great to hear from our guys?  We should be so very proud of our SR's!  They have gone through more in the last three weeks then what most do in a lifetime!  It might just be me...but mine sounds so mature and good.  He said there are a lot of great guys in his division and he honors them all.  Ladies, you have done a great job raising your sailors!  HOOYAH!
HooyahProud,  Yes it was a wonderful conversation!  He was a little homesick sounding in the first minute of the conversation, but I was able to turn that around real quick.  Reminding him how bad he wanted to be there and how he drove me nuts daily saying..."I just want to go to bootcamp"!   He said a few things that stuck out, like the food was amazing and the base was really, really nice!  He definitely has made some really great friends as well.  I think all our guys will shake that homesick feeling off now that they got to talk to us and be pumped up going into all these team building events.  I think they will start the day tomorrow with a new attitude knowing they are on the downhill side (half way point) of bootcamp.  C'mon PIR!!   C'mon PIR!!!
