Jodi, I am going to be going to look for them again today, if i find them i will get a few and i can send to anyone that needs them if they want me to. I was expecting another call from our sailors last night, but no luck, wishful thinking that would call every two weeks. Maybe i should talk to someone over there that they should make a rule or something that they Have to call every two weeks. LOL (Im sure my son would LOVE that!!!) His mommy calling to tell them she needs to talk to him HA HA. (Just a joke, don't tell them that!!)

Anyway, Jodi and anyone else, i will let you all know how i make out with the pins.

I saw some at a Hallmark card store.  They were 2.95 a piece and they only had about 7 maybe.
Hey Kym....I didnt think about Hallmark store...I will chek there 2moro then I can make the dads one each too.  Thanks for the info!!!
Thanx Chrissy - I have a friend that has a couple and she is gonna let me have them :-)  So I will make a ribbon for me and my mom-in-law...that should be good . You are so sweet. I appreciate you thoughtfulness.
well i should have told my husband what i was going crazy looking for, he had this pin, an american and navy flag, all along! He didn't even realize he had it, he thinks he got it at the Army/Navy store. It is a bit more that i wanted, but it will work, I got the letters at the craft store in the scrapbooking section, they are silver. By the way are we putting first name or last names?? HA HA I forgot!
Hey Chrissy...Your ribbon is awesome!  I need to jazz mine up a bit like yours.  I believe we are all putting "last" names on one side and Div 118 on the other.  I originally suggested the "cheap-o" ribbon idea, but it seems like it has turned into more of a pain for everyone trying to find the flag pins......ooops.

Thanks Muchelle. I will change to last name, i thought about it after i put the letters on, but no biggie. It is still a great idea. DId you get a letter today? We did. He sounds good, he can't believe how fast the time is going by for them. I am so happy about that. He said they took their individual pictures in their dress uniforms and that they are going to be taking the division picture too. I can't wait to see them! Ttyl

Hi Ladies,

Good to get a note from Joanne....it has been way to quiet in our group!  Everyone check your Inbox in the right hand corner for Joannes note to all of us about a post-grad get together.

I am just beside myself with excitement!  I am reading my SR's book, Honor, Courage and Commitment..The Navy Bootcamp book.  I am currently on the part where the SR's are gearing up for Battlestations (page 125)  The book interviews recruits and gets their feedback on everything going on during their training....it's very detailed...like how much the packs weigh, whats in them, how far they run from station to station.  Just really interesting info.

Really looking forward to meeting all of you and your Sailors..........IN 12 DAYS!!!!!

HI everyone, I just wanted to stop by and wish you all a safe journey to PIR. I know from experience that you will have a wonderful time. I like your ribbons :) They look great. If any of you you are still looking for some of the flag pins I saw some at AC Moore, they were in the jewelry department. I think they were about 4 bucks for a pack but it had several in it. God Speed :-)

Thank you Lala for the wish of a safe journey to PIR...It is only a little more than 10 days!!!  I printed the gate pass and cried ( happy tears) because the realty of the short time we have to wait...hit me!  I started a count down so each day we get through will bring us one day closer to PIR...HOOYAH

Got a letter from my SR yesterday! I LUV WEDNESDAYS! He is so ready to be over with boot. I can imagine they all are. One week from today we will be on our way to see our guys! I can not tell you HOW EXCITED I AM!!!!  I am not sure how to tell you all how nice it has been to talk with you all these last few weeks. It has got me thru some rough days. The info has been wonderful for us sitting here @ home -Thanks to you all for your posts and support...can't wait to meet you next week & the guys!!!

I couldn't agree with you more Jodi about how everyone is so supportive. I don't think a lot of other people understand (if they haven't been through it themselves) what we are going through or will go through with our "kids" in the Navy. I know that there have been a few people say to me that they felt the same way when their son/daughter left for college, but it's not the same. At least they were able to call/text/email whenever they wanted to. And here we are waiting around week after week just waiting for a letter, that means the world to us. I'm sure it was strange with their son/daughter not living with them but its the communication that is the hardest part. Not knowing what they are doing or how they are doing is the worst.

Anyway enough of that, I can't wait to meet all of you too. ONE WEEK from today we get to see them, hug them, kiss them. YEAH!!!!
