For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Anyone else in this group whose son/daughter/husband/wife in this Division? I'm a nervous Navy Mom..anyone else experiencing the same thing? I feel so "unprepared" for the PIR...but we are attending...I heard there is a Meet n Greet..do we know where yet?

Oh what a good idea...I didn't think of that...excellent idea transfering the phones...I wonder if my son will be doing BS21 on the same day as yours...he's in Div. 216 so I"m not sure. I called my daughter and there is a letter waiting for me at home...so I'll hopefully find out more information...

Ty's mom: My grandson, Colby is in 216 and I got a call yesterday as well. He told me the same thing: BS on the 9th. He also told me out of a score of 5 the division scored 4.9 on their marching drill.

The last call I received from Tyler was LAST Sunday and in his letters he's not addressing questions I ask..LOL. That's awesome they are nailing the marching drill. He did say to "keep the letters coming" as it helps with confidence and inspires him to move forward. I hope my plane is "still on the ground" so I can get the call "I'm a Sailor"...I fear I'll be in the air on my way to the PIR...oh well..doesn't matter as long as he passes!!!

Ty's Mom: We will be traveling as well but are driving. It's a 16 hour drive but well worth it. Hopefully we will get the "I'm a Sailor" call while we are on the road. I cannot wait to hug his neck.

Yay, I got a call, too! But I was too excited and forgot to ask about BST :) I'm glad they're all so upbeat... I'm sure at this point they can see the finish line, so how could they not be excited?

Hey there, has anyone heard from their recruits? We got a letter yesterday stating that they now can write every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. It's getting close, 8 days and 15 hours to go.I'm ready to go now, how about anybody else?

i haven't heard from my son. I really thought they would be able to use phone on Memorial Day so I was hoping...but no news. Thursday is usually my letter day but due to the holiday, I don't know...he also mentioned that last week's letter might be the last because graduation is around corner...I hope not!! I'm soooooooooooooooooo ready...! -

I got a couple of letters yesterday- Marc said that mail goes out on Tuesdays and Thursdays now, too. He also said that they were told that none of them are Grad N Go, and that they will all be staying at Great Lakes until the 16th... which is Wednesday! Why on Earth would they do that? All this time I have been assuming that Marc would be Grad N Go because his school is right there at Great Lakes. I know in the grand scheme of things, a few days don't make a huge difference... I was just hoping, for his sake, that he could get out of there as soon as possible! Maybe this news about staying until the 16th is wrong, though... RDCs can say just about anything they'd like, I bet :P
But I'm with you, Laurel, I'm ready to get this show on the road! We fly out on Thursday, but we're leaving town on Wednesday, so that makes the countdown that much shorter! I have a special outfit for Audrey (our daughter) to wear to graduation... although white pants on a 20 month old? What was I thinking?! It looks like Friday is such an early day, when you factor in contending with security at the gate. And for those of us coming from out west, it's even earlier. Ouch! But I'm still SO excited about going.
I asked Marc what he wanted to go do during the weekend- but he said mostly he justs wants to hang out at the hotel. And I can't blame him - he probably just wants to take a nap! Lucky for him, I am 30 weeks pregnant, and that's all I want to do, too :P -

Hi Britt, Well that's good news that none of them are Grab N Go's because that mean all the families will have the whole weekend with there sailors unless they have duty. The people that are staying in Chicago just go back to the ships and get there stuff and move it across the street. I know my son will be staying in Chicago for his A school which is right across the street. So from what I know they will go back to the ship and get there stuff and move it across the street.. We are almost there I can breathe now I'm so excited and can't wait wait to meet you guys at the Meet N Greet
