I booked at the waukegan quality inn.. they wont charge for a cancellation as long as you cancel before your date of arrival. They also have a shuttle to pir.
My son is in ship 12 div 032 as well. I booked our room at Quality Inn tonight. Will get the plane tickets tomorrow. I'm anxious for a phone call this Sunday. I missed his call last Sunday.:(.

What airline did you go with?  I did not get our tickets booked today, we had a flood in our house and spent all day cleaning that up.  So I decided to wait a few days when I am a little more relaxed.  I will finish it by Monday, but curious what airline you went with.  I'm still trying to decide if we want to fly into O'hare or Milwaukee.

We went with Alaska Air into O hare. We also rented a car as we have relatives that we will catch up with for a quick visit. I'm sure that Chris will be leaving for his A school in Maryland on Saturday so we plan on spending the day with him t the airport. I hope he has a late flight!
And sorry about the flood!! Yikes..

We will be spending the day at the airport with our son as well.  I hope he flies out of O'Hare and not Midway.  I just wish we could know that one simple detail because if we fly out of O'hare and he is out of Midway we can only get one or if we are as lucky as we were the day he flew out to boot camp to get two escort passes to the gate.  Since we only got two our daughter could not go sit at the gate with us so she stayed with my mom and sister in the other area of the airport.  I will keep my fingers crossed for us all!:)

Thank you...it is fine, just have to replace the flooring and repair some stuff around the door.  And a new washer and probably a new dryer because we know as women there always has to be a matching set...lol!:)

Have of any you ladies received a letter yet?

We got a letter last Wednesday, so I am hoping to get another one tomorrow.  Accept we have not gotten his form letter that we were suppose to receive.  I am hoping it's still coming.  I am not sure what pertinent info was on it that we need to know.  Have you received yours?

Yes, I received the form letter and the box on the same day.  Yes there is info you need in the form letter.  there is a password for getting on base, I am not sure if it is the same for all of us.  I got 2 letters today!  He says he really loves it. He said they were taking out his wisdom teeth, I hope that went well.

We received the box a week ago and just got two more letters from him today.  I was so excited to get the letters.  Made our day...but I am a little worried we have not gotten the form letter.  I will let him know in the letter I write tonight.  Hopefully he can send out another one.

Have any of you received a phone call from your SR?
