Awesome, my son will be doing subs also. He wants to do Sonar
Hi Jessi! My son's name is Matthew and he's doing nukes. I'm not sure what rate he is yet. Since he did ROTC in high school, he thought he was supposed to graduate BC an E3 but I'm not sure when he would actually achieve that rating. What is your husband's name?
FYI - Rate vs Rating
Rate - Pay Grade
Rating - Navy job
All Recruits have a Rate of Seaman Recruit, E1
No Recruit has a Rating. That comes after A school or successfully striking into a Rating.
How do you know what rate they are?
Click on this:E-1, E-2 or E-3 How did that happen?
Or just ask your Recruit.
HI StussyMom! I was so excited to get Matthew's form letter today that I felt giddy! I've been on my computer making travel plans ever since I got home from work.
MnMsProudMom, I left info for you on your My Page.
There is no set number of calls a Recruit will be able to make
Recruits are often permitted to make an "I'm still alive!" call in about week 3 or 4 and have usually received mail by that time, but that call can be lost for any number of reasons.
