Hi Grace. What is your boyfriends name? It is so good to hear from ship 12 div 100!!!
His name is Aaron!! nice to hear from you too!
I think my boyfriend Aaron knows your son really well! He has talked about someone from Maine and he said we have a double date planned in Maine sometime :) Hope all is well for you and your family!
Grace
I just checked out the Unique memory makers on facebook and if we pick a color, I like the plain light blue. Does Lala embroider with division # or do we order them plain and just have the same color. I think light blue is a good universal color but everyone has different coloring so you all would know best. What are your thoughts? How much are they? Do we order to pins as a group too? We have plenty of time to decide. Go 12/100!
Hello Ladies, My son Brandon is also on Ship 12 Div 100, he will also be going to San Antonio, TX for A school for FMF Corpsman. We also received the form letter Brandon did write Hey Guys, I love you! Doing great, don't worry about me. See you soon! UGH I can't wait to actually receive a letter from him I'm hoping tomorrow. We are from Joliet, IL., Im so happy to find other mom's that have children on the same ship. Hugs Tora
Yes we are going myself, my husband, our grandson who we have guardianship of and my oldest son, nothing can keep us from being there. I also pray their division is bonding Brandon is pretty laid back, he was so ready for his new journey, his main concern was me. Your son is Joe? How old is he, Brandon is 19 my youngest. March 30th can not get here soon enough, goodness tomorrow will be 2 weeks seems like 2 months. I do know I will not be wearing any makeup on the 30th because I will be crying like a baby. So many emontions its unreal, on one hand could not be any prouder but then on the other hand my heart is say because I miss him so much. It has been nice talking to you, Hugs Tora
Hi Janis, Your son sounds like he was really ready for this. My son will be turning 21 while in bc. He took this surprisingly well considering 21 is a big birthday. Sometimes I think God is really watching over him as he decided to have my son be in bc on his 21st bday LOL. I hope that Dan and Joe are getting along well! Joe was ready too. He spoke with a recruiter when he was 18 but decided to go to college for a few years. I am so proud of his decision and I am glad he did not go when he was 18. I wonder if he would have been as ready. I have written 6 letters so far and I cant wait to hear back from him. So many questions!
Hi Janis - I see your Dan and my Brandon along with Cathie's Joe are 3 of the wonderful kids in this division. Does anyone know how many are in each division? Goodness I pray they are bonding, and become a unit. Are you going to PIR? I so hope I receive a letter from Brandon today, not hearing from him is so tough. After Christmas he went to Florida with a buddy and we talked everyday, first time he was away from home. I told him it would be great it will be a pre-boot camp and give us a chance to get prepared for him not to be home, he did get home sick after week one. I am so thankful I found this site it does make it alot easier talking to other moms that are in the same sitution. Talk with you later, Hugs Tora
I believe there are approximately 88 per division. I do not remember where I read that. maybe the veteran moms can help out with that question.
Hi Janis, my son is 24 yrs old too. I was thinking that he would be with 18-19 yr olds. We are from North Dakota. I hope Dan and Chris have bonded! Cindy.
Hahahahah lol cracking up about grandpa!! My son will be turning 21 in a few weeks. I would guess this age is the average. Thank you to your son Dan...it sometimes takes weeks to train someone for this position and he seemed to pick it up pretty quick since we are all getting letters so soon. Be sure to tell him thank you!
Morning Cathie, I see you have written 6 letters to Joe already lol. I also have written many letter to Brandon, everyday I have been writting alittle. Im getting ready to mail the lastest one from 2/11 til today. Have you decided what hotel you will be staying at. I wish we knew when our boys take off for A School, this last minute stuff drives me crazy. Yes I would have to agree on the 21st birthday it is a big one. Brandon also went to college for a short time after graduation. I so we all get a letter from our sons soon, I know I need one BAD. Talk to you later, Hugs Tora
