Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

We received our form letter Thursday and was very excited to get it. Saying a prayer and keeping my fingers crossed for the March 30th graduation.

hi tora720...I sent you and Janis a friend request. I have reserved a room at the Springhill Saloon where Serge has his Meet and Greet. I reserved the room from Thursday through Sunday but I have not booked flights yet. I am waiting to hear when Joe will be flying out to Pensacola. If he flies out of Saturday then I may cancel my room for Saturday night and fly home then. I too cant stand these last minute details, its too stressful!! Where are you staying and are you planning to attend the Meet and Greet Thursday evening? Talk soon! Cathie
Yes, it looks very nice. It has an indoor pool and they offer free breakfast. I believe it was built in 2008 so it is also new. From what I hear though graduation rates are sold out. It would not hurt to keep calling though since people may cancel or change dates. I hope this helps! Happy Valentines Day!!

Hello Zachery's mom - how are you? Im the mother of Brandon who is in this division. I believe we have made this our page, not sure tho. My son is 19 going to A School in San Antonio, TX he is training for FMF Corpsman. We are from Joliet, IL. Can not wait until March 30th to see my son and meet all the moms. This has been a tough road so far. I did finally receive a letter today thank god Brandon has been writting us this whole time just could not mail it - he was written in his bunk. He seems really happy wishing that his division would come together alittle better but they are having a slow start I guess - it will take time. It has been nice talking to you. Hugs Tora

Hi dkberry37...My son, Joe, will be going to Florida as well. We are from Maine and we are staying at the Springhill Suites. I hope we get to meet each other at the Meet and Greet the night before PIR! I cant wait to receive a letter!! I hope you receive one soon too. I also hope our boys start working together as a solid unit. I imagine it takes time.

I RECEIVED A LETTER TODAY - finally got to hear how Brandon is doing. He is doing good he did say 4 of the boys have quit, and he does wish the division would becoming a unit alittle faster. Cant believe he sent a 9 page letter he has been writting almost everyday in his bunk after lights out. I hope you ladies also received a letter my heart has a huge smile on it today. Hugs Tora

Hi Tora720...You are so lucky!! I thought for sure I may get something today for some reason but I didn't even get a stitch of mail today. I kept looking out for the mail carrier but he must have passed by our house without me seeing him. so bummed but so glad for you!! I am curious to hear more about the division!! Its too bad they are not coming together quickly. :(
