While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Heard from my sr also! He not doing to well as he still has a cold. He was terrified of being asmo'd and not passing the rest of his PT. He missed the running part by 13 seconds, passed the swimming, and didn't say how far off he was on the sit ups and push ups. He is concerned that the sit ups are going to be a problem due to a sore tailbone. He was told he was doing them wrong but they didn't tell him how to do them right! I told him to ask them. He is so tense he can't think straight. Told him he needed to settle down. When do they start building them up? Or don't they?

Gee. I didnt get a call. I REALLY wish I did! My son probably cant figure out how to use a pay phone considering dont think hes ever seen one!

BTW I am glad you all got the calls. It probably boosted their morale. Im just devastated I didn't get one. I guess that means my son is doing well enough to not feel the need. (In a weird sort of way Im hoping that's the case)

Amsred,It's possible that they spread the calls out over several days and you'll get yours tomorrow or the day after. I can't imagine the whole division goes to the phones at the same time. Better keep your phone handy, just in case!

Still no call. But Im in a little better spirits cuz im getting my airline tickets tomorrow. I can assume hes still on track since I haven't heard anything from him!

Got FOUR letters today. I guess it makes up for no phone call. He iis up and down. In one hes about to give up and the next hes pleased with his progress and the great group of guys in his DIv. Hes made some really good friends. I wonder if any of them are yours. I have names but of course dont wanna put them on here. He says they are the "smart" bunch and thats why they got selected to be an accelerated division, but its hard because they are behind the others. He had some trouble with PT but passed the swim qualifications which I thought would be his biggest obstacle.
So I look forward to getting some more positive letters soon!

Wow-four letters! I am so glad for you, and that he sounds better. Sounds like you got actual information, which is more than the tiny tidbits my son imparts! I thought that might be the reason they were put in the push division, but it's good to have it confirmed. I understand that they probably get through academics faster, but that must make it really hard for them with the physical stuff. I think my son will be okay with the swimming and running, but push ups and sit ups must be brutal!
Hope we can figure out a way to meet each other at PIR and see if our sons are pals. And second that thought on the ASMO-let's keep our fingers crossed!

Glad you got some letters amsred. I really think we will have to watch what we put on here since it appears the RDC's surf the site. My sr also passed swimming. I will keep them all in my thoughts that they pass the rest of PT. I wish we could let the sr's know we are "talking" to each other so we could know if they knew each other, but that won't happen until PIR. I just pray that none will be asmo'd!

Yes, that's what it means. I've read somewhere what it stands for, but can't remember. I tried using the "Navy Speak"acronym translator on this site, but it couldn't find a definition. So far it hasn't found any of the terms I've searched for.
