For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ascoobus - I have my phone with me 24/7 - even at work. I told my boss that if I ever see an 847 area code, I don't care what I'm doing - I'm leaving my desk to go talk to my son. That happened a couple of weeks ago. I work the front desk of our YMCA and a lady was purchasing a membership. I saw 847 and I left the desk immediately! That poor woman! My boss had to pick up where I left off - it was kinda funny, but I felt bad for the lady. Oh well - my son comes first!

I was hoping for another call today but so far doesnt look like one will be coming :/ I have to work during battlestations but I work graveyard so I will be up with the boys praying for them!! Im lighting a blue candle at home for sure. I always have my phone on me and on high vibrate just incase!!! Cant believe we only have 2 weeks to go :)

So will we. We're leaving at 6am here and we get there at 12pm Chicago time. So I hope that IF they get a call it's after that. I'm a little skeptical about bringing my son's car seat into the hall during graduation. But we obviously have to take a taxi or car to get there. I wish they made car seat exceptions for people who were visiting haha.

hi there! my daughters PIR is also the 5/13 div 171. Just responding to your blue candle. I actually ordered on line LED blue candles. I have been "lighting" them every nite for a few hours. The night of our battle stations I am going to light them at 8 pm, leave on (without fear of burning house down) and then carry one to work with me. These candles actually feel and look like REAL candles. They are made out of wax. I work for the schools and told my one supv. about it. Don't know if its too late to order the LED candles but I got them from a company called LampLust.

Just got a call from my SR - he said they are letting them call home to make sure their famlies are okay due to the recent string of storms. He really misses being home. I tried to give him words of encouragement but I don't know if it helped at all. After I called his girlfriend but we had to hang up because he was lucky enough to get a second call!

Just heard from my son - Ship 12 Div 168! He said that they were able to call because of all the storms that rolled through the southeast the last few days. I was sooo glad to hear his voice! I'm getting better at not crying or getting choked up when I talk to him - can't say I won't fall apart when I get to SEE him though!
I did give him some of the news from Alabama and stuff, just so he knew what was going on. Of course, he had no idea of what had happened and how bad it was.
He did tell me that this past Wednesday was "The Gas Chamber". Quite an experience he said! Didn't want to have to do that again anytime soon! He said, too, that all but one passed their PFA this last time. He said Ship 12 Div 168 will have Fire Fighting on this coming Monday, May 2nd - BS21 will be the night of May 5th thru morning of May 6th.
He also said that his RDC said that they were working toward getting another "earned" call BEFORE BS21 - hopefully that phone call will come! If not, I'll be happy with the one that matters most - "I'M A SAILOR" call.

I got two calls too! I didn't cry either - but I know I will at graduation! (& that's okay!) I needed a pick me up and hearing his voice did it. I'm grinnin' from ear to ear.
My son is nervous about the Battlestations. He is afraid he might fall asleep during the "down time" part of it. I told him that lots of people were saying prayers and that he needs to tell the other guys to pinch him or something so he'll stay awake! Teamwork!
Just think - two weeks from today we will be with them! (My son seem to think he was leaving Sunday to Conneticut). He wants his truck and his dog. Ha. (Not for awhile, son... not for awhile!)
I dread "saying goodbye" again, but hopefully that time will be easier since we can look forward to communicating with them more.

A lot of them seem to have gotten 2 calls good that way they got to hear froms moms and gfs
