For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I got 2 phone calls too! And I kinda figured BS21 would be on Thursday instead of Wednesday, since they usually start them on the Thursday the week before PIR. And I hope they get that earned called b4 BS....that will be awesome. My husband is super sick though, he said the RDC will let everyone go to medical after BS because they don't want them getting held back bc of being sick and not being able to do BS.

My son was super sick a few weeks ago. He had a temp of 102. He has sinus problems. They let him go to the doc, but called him a "wuss". (really an uglier word, but I'm not typing it. Ha) He feels better now. I hope your husband gets better before the big test!

Ok...no more worrying! He called his girlfriend today and he passed everything! I am so glad he called her...she filled me in on everything..so all is well!!

I wish there was a "like" button on here! LOL - but then again I "like" everyone's post! Happy you got your call PatsMom!! I don't know about the rest of you but I light a candle every night for all our son's and daughters!
My SR sounded so sad when he called. He's doing great and passing all his tests & PFA's, but I think he is so homesick he can't stand it....He also said he was scared about what may happen in the future and deployment. So am I but I didn't tell him that - I just tried to reassure him - he's still in BC and then has A school...I think the RDC's are really trying to enforce the fact that they are each other's backup and trying to prepare them for BS12. It hurt my heart and wish I could give him a great big hug. xoxo -

My SR seemed pretty confident but he does talk about how much he misses home. Its sad to think he may not ever live in this little town of ours again but Im so proud to see hes doing such a good thing with his life.

My SR is very homesick too. Very very homesick. He worries about the future also, but we try to tell him to just take it a day at a time. When he's sad, I'm sad. When he's happy. I'm happy. Prayers to them all!

My husband was really homesick yesterday too. Well he's been homesick the whole time but I think like all of us some days are worse than others. I just reminded him that we're almost in the single digits now so hopefully it helps him get through everything. Plus with Battlestations coming up I don't think that they will even have time to be homesick.
