Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 023 & 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So happy the letters are starting to arrive.  With that to look forward to every week it may make the time go by faster.  Keeping my phone with me as much as I can (not allowed to have it at work :(  but hoping to get a call soon.

I took Yvonne's lead and put my SR div # in my name. It's so hard to remember who's in what div. I'm happy to say my SR is doing well. Has passed the PT and swim test! It doesn't sound like he has received any of our letters yet though. That makes me a little sad. Hopefully he starts getting them this week. The 21st was their first free Sunday.

My turn please... I GOT THE LETTER TODAY !!!!

Sounded great, and very humble...Said they made him Master at Arms of his Division #23 so I know he's excited about that. Past a test and another one was scheduled for today ( which he promised me he has been studying) shocker! Said he already heard he would most likely be deployed after training since they need the Seabees overseas :( not so happy about hearing that so early. Other then that he said he met some great guys in his division and it's getting cold!!!

We made it through another week!  5 weeks to go.  Stay strong everyone!

So darn dissappointed, no letter or phone call yet. I know that no news is good news, But would really like to know how he's doing. Talking about stalking the mailman, one time when my husband was deployed for 6 months I told the mailman that I hadn't gotten any mail in a long time and he got really defenseive ( we lived in military housing) and said " Lady, if your husband isn't writing to you, it aint my fault." I guess a lot of wives had the same complaint that day LOL So we are still waiting patiently to hear from him. Glad to see others in the division have heard from their SR. That gives me hope.

Hang in there sailormom, I'm sure it's on the way!

thanks cannec024 :-)

White Puppy waving

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Praying Div 024 gets their phone calls tomorrow! We are bracing for a Hurricane here on the east coast and hoping if my SR does get to call, it gets through to us. Hoping everyone here on the coast makes it through the storm ok.

Be safe there on the East Coast! My whole family is in Jersey so I am praying for everyone! and the phone call :-)

I just got a phone call from my son!!! I'm so happy!!!! He's doing great. Had his wisdom teeth pulled Friday, so he has been SIQ. He has made several friends. He barely passed his hearing test, so he is having to choose a new job because of that. :( He didn't seem to upset, but he was really excited about his job when he left. Today is week 2 day 5 for them. They were in holding for a week after processing to fill up the division. They will still graduate on the 30th, but their training didn't start on time. Hope you all had phone calls too!

Me too!  It was so nice to hear my son's voice even for just a few minutes.  Sounds like everything is going well for him.
