Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 029 & 030

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Still no letter from SR.  Given his propensity for electronic communication I am not sure he even knows how to write a letter.  I did send him a question form letter just so I might have a chance at getting something. :)

My son is Ship 12 DIV 030. We have not received a letter from him yet but our form letter came about 10 days ago. Has anyone gotten a letter from their son or daughter from this division?

(copied and pasted from duplicate discussion)

My son is Ship 12 DIV 030.  We have not recieve a personal letter yet.  We are planning to attend PIR.  I am new to the military, two generations removed.  Son's great grandfather became a sailor at Great Lakes in 1944.  So I have a lot to learn.  Is the ship two divisions all bubbleheads?  or is it a mix?  We are from Washington State and planning on attending the meet and greet.  Hope to meet you'all there.

What are bubbleheads??? :) and where in Washington state? We live in the TriCities.  Do you know when you're flying out, where you're staying etc.

We live in WRichland.  We are driving to spokane and flying Delta. Staying at HI Express.  My two other boys will be with me.

We are more than likely going to fly out of Spokane too, but I just got 2 letters today and one said it took forever to process and PIR may be moved....I hate not knowing for certain because I want to get my tickets bought..actually just re-read that he'll be set back a week or so cuz of wisdom teeth being pulled.

Bubbleheads=any Sailor stationed on a submarine.

Recruits are not separated while in BC, except for the spec ops divisions.

So skimmers        and  bubbleheads      http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/1799200215?profile=original     are together.

I got a letter today...actually 2 different ones in the same env.!!  so excited.  He said he needs his widom teeth pulled and that may set his grad date back a week....so does that mean he grads with different people..??

Playing Kitty

Two letters today!!!  I feel so much better and nearly as happy as the day my SR was born.  Hoping the adopt a sailor letter will come soon.

Me too....sooooo excited.  He did say it took forever to process and that his PIR date may change...did yours say anything about that?  Altho my son is Div 030.

actually re-read the letter and his PIR may change because he needs his wisdom teeth pulled :(
