DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 047 and 048.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good afternoon, My Son is Ship 12 Div 047 Graduation date Jan 4th. I have not made reservation yet was looking at the Country INN&Suites by Carlson Gurnee. My son made it clear that his Sargent' s were telling him that the area around them was not very safe and to tell there parents.I am going by myself so want to be safe.

Looking to talk to Moms on there way to see their Sailor.I will not get to meet any of the moms or dads.

I am coming in late and leaving early the day after. If you have any recommendation on fun places to take my sailor those few hours to enjoy his company, I will appreciate any feed back.

I work a ton and do not have a lot of time to research.

I just cant wait to spend those few hours with him.

Thanks for being here i have read a ton of good info from everyone..

I really think that our boys (or girls) will just be appreciative of our time together with the pressure finally off of them.  We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn - Lake Forest Mettawa, which is a little farther away.  There are 4 of us, but we're renting a nice big car.  Klynn, if you're traveling by yourself, you are more than welcome to hang with us.  A group is always safer.

We are also coming in late on Thursday night (his sister has to work a full day), and we're leaving later on Saturday because I have to get my butt from Delaware up to NYC on Sunday for work! So, no Meet & Greet Thursday night. :-(

Division 48 was adopted by North Point  Church. Facebook page is facebook.com/northoint.org. They are uploading pictures throughout the day. They have access to the internet and phone. Our son has called several times today. They had breakfast at the base and then again at the church. They were to have a big dinner at 2:00. They will be back at the base by 8:00 P.M. Enjoying movies and downtown in general.

Has anyone seen any pictures besides the one of the guys getting donuts?

Yes, North Point Church.

There are a bunch of pictures on the church Facebook page now.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/northpointorg?fref=ts   Fun to find our boys (men) and nice to see smiles on their faces.

I saw them, how wonderful to see my baby!

Gate passes for PIR on 1/4/12 have been opened up on the RTC website. Print and check, one more thing down before we head to Great Lakes.

anybody got 'THE CALL' yet? waiting anxiously.

No...we are all dying here! Lol

Oh my gosh - I thought I was the only one!!  Waiting! :-)
