Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 085 and 086.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes jillymom, my SR told me that they are a push division.

I just purchased the challenge coin for my son. Its should be here by the 22.

You will love it!!

Way to go on the table decorations for our divisions, Linda. And thank you husband as well; we're looking pretty spiff. Have to admit, my stomach is tied up in knots right now; I'm just being faithful in prayer for our SRs. Haven't missed a day since my other son announced he had enlisted in the AF. This second boot camp experience is no easier. Wanted to express my condolences to herbgarden over the loss of her step-daughter. So sad to hear of a young life cut short. :(  bigzomom- I broke down and ordered the ribbon, too. At first the shipping seemed high; but it will make a nice keepsake. Thanks for all your updates; I know our SRs are working their hardest now and although I keep telling my son not to worry about writing, I'm fibbing there.

Thanks, jillymom. It is very hard to lose a child, and I feel for her little girls, they lost their mommy. But looking forward to my SR graduating, don't want to diminish her accomplishment because we are all sad.

We got a letter! He mostly talks about inspections and some of the hits and how crazy and funny stuff happens all the time. They are doing their best and he related a story about himself during inspection where his arms went limp and everybody had a good laugh. I sense a comraderie is developing among them that will aid them in working together. His phone card is almost gone; every call is automatically 35 minutes, so he only has one call left. They don't disclose that on the card when you buy it! I re-booked my car again and saved another $28, got an intermediate SUV for $160 4 days. Still higher than LAX.  One more thing, herbgarden, especially tragic to hear about orphaned children. I hope God gives you and your family the strength you need in this difficult time. ;{

Thanks, jillymom, for your condolences. At least the girls have their dad, and as soon as school is over he plans to move near his parents and his brothers' family, so that will be good for all of them.

:) Hopefully they will all start the healing process; hope this is not further away from you. Are you coming to Sarge's?

Well, they will be closer, but since they were in Fla. and then will be in Ala., and we are in Chicago area, they will not be close by. We have no family here. All in many different states.

Unfortunately, I don't think we will be at Sarge's. We are so close to GL, that we will probably drive up the morning of PIR. Saves a hotel bill for 4! After the travel, flight for our SR, funeral, food and hotel expenses for the week in Fla., trying to save some $$!

I got a phone call, I laughed and cried at the same time... It was so great to hear from my daughter.

We both did the same thing the first time I heard from her (finally!)  I´m overseas and the phones don´t always work here, so it was a looooong wait to hear from her.  I won´t be able to make it back to watch her graduate, but I´m sooo very proud of her for wanting something really great for herself.

Got a call from my son around 5 tonight.  He got to talk to my husband too. Got 20 mins. Then he got to call his sister and my granddaughter said "I love you" to him. I know he had to have teared up when he heard that. He loves his niece so much. The division is doing good. Dress white pictures are this week. Dress blues pictures last week. They got at least 4 flags. He did say when BS21 is. So looking forward to the call the next day. Did real well in PI and Zone Inspection that was last Monday and Tuesday. He sounded so good! I told him how much I am learning from this site and N4M's site. He laughed. I am smiling ear to ear!!!
