Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 397 and 398

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Cathy, have you heard if they will be making calls tomorrow? I'm hearing 397 has been getting phone calls taken away but that might just be my sailor. I know you'll be working tomorrow (today, wow! It is late!) but thought perhaps you might have some news?

Got a phone call a few minutes ago! Short but unexpected! Will take whatever I can get!

Kay, me too! Short but sweet :) Perhaps your SR is rack mates with mine? His last name starts with an M.

My son's last name starts with C. Do they assign them in alphabetical order?

No but I guess we aren't allowed to write the full last names on here :/
My son called too and last night too short but sweet and I'll take what ever i can get great to just hear his voice
Also he is division 397 ship 12

Gd Morning KRG.  Must admit it was pretty cool reading that u r from the Saratoga area in NY.  I was born & raised in New Baltimore, NY - Jersey is home now only bcuz Ft Dix was my last duty station so needless 2 say my SR  (JM - stick 1) was born & bred here.  So what rate is RB?

Have u any idea what stage of training our SR's r in & how they r doing?  Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity 2 speak 2 my SR.  I have encouraged he stay in contact w/his g/f as I kno that she is attached to her cell & they r attempting 2 bring their relationship 2 the next level.

I do look forward 2 gathering any info on our SR's  from our cyber connection.  Thanks.

Not sure rate my SR is i know very little about the Navy as this is my first real military experience.....so i didn't know what questions to ask....he has called several times but i am not great when i get excited as a matter fact i think everytime he's called I've just said repeatedly we love you and stay strong.....he probably thinks im a basket case......which on some days i am.....this morning was a real rough morning maybe because i was hoping so much for a phone call so i could just hear his voice and know he is okay.....i believe from research I've done on internet they are in week 4 and i know their division / ship has not been doing well the have had a lot of ipt and phone calls taken away and not received any flags....and he is disappointed..what i do know is my SR is hanging in there and can make his bed and fold his clothes...lol....i do not think he did either of these things while living at home :-)......i know i can't wait to ghetto PIR and see him we miss him soooo much

Thank u sharing what u kno about our SRs.  Being prior army military I can only say it can b demanding & if they're not pulling 2gether I wud imagine it makes it that much harder on the morale.  when I've written 2 my SR I do encourage him 2 keep his head in the game & stress the importance of doing what he can 2 encourage team-work.  From what info I've read about Hell Week & especially Battle Stations its gonna take teamwork from them all 2 get thru it.  Keepin our SRs close in thought & prayer.

Lets keep ourselves informed & share what we find out.  I know w/the limited communication I've gotten I do appreciate hearing whatever any1 has 2 share about Ship 12/Div 397

Yes Ship 12 DIV 398

Just received a call from my sr.!!!!  Said it was a mandatory call that they get. I got to talk to him about 12 minutes!!!!
