For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 423 and 424
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

From what I have gathered, they can come home for Christmas if they have leave saved up. They get 2.5 days a month starting from BC. How long they can be gone varies from A schools. They have to pay their own way to and from! My daughter is going to her A school in San An TX, and I know she will want to come home even if only for a few days. I live in WA state as well and I won't be able to afford the trip to her PIR :( But my ex-husband and 2 other daughters will be attending.

We certainly understand as we cannot afford the trip to PIR. It is killing us to not be able to. Of well, life in this economy. Thanks for all your great posts. I really enjoy them.

We have received 4 letters thus far. Thank God his last letter was so positive. It is the process of hearing him becoming a man. We are so proud of him and all of the SR's that have taken this important step in their lives.

Ok got my call! My daughter sounds much better from last weeks call. She was sick for a few days but staying strong!

I got a call from my daughter in law today. My son is in division 423 & he had someone else call her today. It would seem that he had dry socket from having his wisdom teeth pulled and couldn't talk, but someone else called her to relay messages. Sounds like everything is going good. Found out today my son is a team leader. So hard to believe.

I pray they all do well. My SR is 21 & married but he is still my baby & my heart is full of joy as well. This is a very wonderful road these children of ours has chosen and I'm proud of all of them even though I only know one. I will pray for all of them.

Just got my phone call he sounds so good got his wisdom teeth pulled on Tuesday and is a little sore. The phone he was on was having a static problem so we were having a little bit of a hard time understanding him. I am so glad to have heard from him. I can't wait for PIR and to be able to see him.

I thought my daughter would too but didn't have to, thank goodness since she been a little sick already. She debated getting them pulled before BC. She did go to the dentist a few months prior to BC and had a few fillings done, she was surprised when they told her she needed to have a tooth fixed!

Hello everyone my daughter also is in this group of kids. she will be 19 yrs old on the 8th of nov. I think that is so cool what a good birthday present. I miss her so much.
