Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 233 and 234

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Sorry I didn't see a link in the original message regarding the shirts I agree it should only be worn at the meet and greet since the PIR seems to be somewhat more "formal". I will relook for the link in the original message and I agree if they can be printed and we can ship direct that would be great!
I am new to all these different forums so I apologize I don't want to be repetitive I'll look into the link that I sent to see if our division can be printed on them if not any other suggestions would help. As far as the ribbons go they look fairly easy to make I think someone on the Facebook page is selling them as well but just something that we can all agree on to wear if we can't get them printed as far as for the door it looks like a lot of people just make handmade poster boards or a banner with the cloth and maybe your last name on it. Again I'm Utah this so this is just from what I've seen.
You have to click on the pages on the bottom to see old posts. I think we all agree not to wear at actual PIR but at meet and greet.

I was at WalMart earlier and my phone beeped telling me I had a notification for a reply to this discussion about a link that I had cited about shirts and questioning if we ordered those shirts can we still print the ship/div. number on the back. I was confused about that post because I never posted a link about shirts. I just "suggested" making shirts so we could show our support plus pick one another out of the crowd. I hope there wasn't any trouble about suggesting the shirt idea. I'm still going to make a shirt for myself I just don't know if I am going to put the ship/div. number.

I do have a question on another subject. I made a word search on Word to mail to my son. There are 32 words for him to search. The words included are words such as family members names, our cats names, our favorite Chicago sports team names, names of our cars, etc...  I don't ever want to send him something that would embarrass him with his RDC, so do you think this word search is a good idea??

so sorry Navymom1029 I thought you posted the T-shirt site but it was cristinab.  I would still love to all have the same shirt for meet and greet and put the ship and div # on the back.  Have a good day ladies.  When do you think we may be due for a call?  Does anyone know the exact week and day they are up to in their training?

There are pictures up on Facebook. I seen a group with a flag that reads "USS Marvin Shields" but I didn't see my son in that group. BUMMER.

I thought for sure I would've seen him in that group carrying the flag "USS Marvin Shields" but no luck. I am super bummed. I am missing him so much and I can tell by his letters that he is definitely homesick. Just a glimpse of him in a photo would make me feel so much better. I'm sure it would make ALL OF US feel better to see a picture of our kids. Maybe next week....

That's awesome mammabird. I got one yesterday and his girlfriend got one today. At least they are writing us!

I got a letter today! He's still homesick but wrote about the PFT he passed the swimming but needed a second chance on the floating. The run he was a little shy of the time limit but said he still gets another chance so it should be fine. Ughhhh cried the entire letter and have read it 6 times.

I'm so happy for you that you got a letter! I picked up a nice box to store my letters in. I'll keep these forever!!! I love reading them over and over...

That's a great idea (making earrings!!) I think I'm gonna do that too!! I went shopping tonight looking for my outfit to wear to PIR. Not sure what I want to wear yet. I know I want some super cute but comfy shoes to wear then I'll build my outfit from there...

Received his first letter today as well and wrote letter this past Sunday when they had free time!  Was so happy to hear from him.  He sounds happy and said things are going well so far!  Said he hasn't studied this much in a long time and was preparing for inspection the next day and just finished polishing his boots!  Was also so disappointed not seeing his picture today since it did show the flag for Marvin Shields!  Maybe it was 12/234 instead of 12/233.  Does anyone know?
