Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 403 and 404

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son Donovan is in 403 and graduating October 25th.  I appreciate your sharing.  We are driving in from Georgia (12 hours) so it helps knowing what to expect.  I just look forward to seeing him again.

He had ask me to bring his cell and I wasn't for sure that he would be allowed to get then or if he'd have to wait.

bawonder - just sent you a friend request and message - check your inbox :)

My son is division 403 also. His A school is in GL also. Any info I can get is much appreciated.

My son Michael is in 403, he will be going to Pensacola for A school. I miss him a great deal and have yet to get a phone call or letter. But no news is good news....or at least that's what I keep hearing!

Hello my son is 404. I miss him very much but won't be able to make to go see him for PIR. I am very upset about this. I hope my son has all of your wonderful family members helping him out. I keep writing him but have not received a letter from him yet. Only one phone call but didn't get to talk to him too much. He will be going to Pensacola FL for OS. I can't wait to find out more specifics on who his friends are. We are from California.

Hi Swansont, I'm sorry you will be unable to make graduation. You should be able to watch it on your computer. Also, in your next letter tell your son to order the DVD and yearbook. you will also be able to purchase his division photo and portraits. Tell him what to order for you, sizes...we have a large one framed. They will also have division shirts and hoodies, we ordered extra after my older son graduated. I'm sure you will be in his heart on graduation day.

Hello lilirish,

Thanks for the info. I may not see my son for graduation but at least we can Skype while he is in A school. Should I send him money foe the stuff to order? Is there a website we can go to to order pictures and stuff? What does the year book have in it? He called today and I told him I wouldn't make it. I felt bad. He just kept asking why. His father, his wife and my sons best friend will be going. Trying to come up with the funds for my daughter to go also. She wants to see him, so he won't be alone that day. If anyone gets a call from their SR stating they are a sailor please post it. I heard we may not all get a call. He also wrote me a list of names of his friends. Can't wait to compare notes. :)

My son is Dale from 404. Pictures are usually around the 4th week, so they look tired. My older son had the pics at graduation. Make sure your son keeps your pictures for you. We brought our sons back home with us. My son also had the tees with him then, but we ordered hoodies & tees for his best friend and some for us when we got home. They deduct the cost for both from their account, so you can square up with him later if he needs it. It seems like most sailors get leave between A school and their assignment.Hopefully you can spend time together then. Although graduation is nice, and we all want to be there, you only see them for a short time unless they go to A school there. I hope that is some comfort for you. My husband puts graduation on the computer at work each week, he said it's a link from the recruit training command, and to allow for time difference. Try it before your son's graduation so you can ace it. Dale will go to A school in FL too. Oh, and the yearbook is nice. The 1st part has general pics of boot camp, the end has div pics etc. Lastly, join the PIR 10/25 Facebook page, that should help too.

hello everyone  my son nick is In div-403 and were from California how will I know were he will be going to school at. he will be studying aviation  boatwain's  matefuels.how will I know are how can I find out.

Hello,

My husband looked it up online, typed in your son's rate. It looks like he will go to Pensacola FL. If you are still unsure, you could call his recruiter to ask.

Hello,

My son is in ship 13, division 404. We are planning on going to PIR on 10/25. His A school is in Pensacola, he is an AD. We are from California.

Hello everyone. Received my first letters from my son today. He gave me a list of their names. Where can I write the names so I can connect with the parents?
