Hi Philly t!  I haven't heard anything from my sailor other than the box of clothes and the form letter with his ship and division.  No mail or phone calls.  I am really hoping I get a call today. Not sure if I will however. We are from Tx.  How about you?

Hey ladies! I was just curious if you are all still waiting for a letter or phone call.  My boyfriend is Ship 14, DIV 170 also.  A lot of people got calls over the weekend, but we didn't, and still no other letters except the Form Letter.

Great to hear from you!  And No-I haven't gotten anything other than the form letter where I can send him letters and his clothes.  No calls or letters. : (  Its good to know I am not alone.

I was so worried we were the only ones who hadn't heard anything.  I don't know if you've found it yet, but there is a group for PIR 4/29 on here and Facebook.  Everyone was talking about their calls.  I thought I was the only one and I was so disappointed.  I will keep your son in my thoughts.  I hope you are able to hear from him soon.  :)

Thank you for the fb info.  I will check it out.  I wonder why we haven't heard anything from our sailors?  I guess there isn't really a set time that they call-maybe it is up to the discretion of their chiefs??  Who knows...

I really have no idea.  I'm just hoping for the best.  The only thing I can think of is that they were on some type of watch duty during call time.  I read that might happen on one of the websites.  I was hoping maybe tonight or tomorrow... Our 3 weeks will be up tomorrow.  Until the "I'm okay" call home, I had always heard the call was 5 weeks, not 3 (that's what the recruiter said).

I hope for the best too-I was really REALLY hoping to have gotten an Easter Sunday call yesterday.  But I have also read that no news is good news.  That means all is ok.  So, here's hoping all is well!  The not knowing how he is doing is killing me though!  I'm not really worried, just so curious about the experience, what it's like, etc.

I agree.  It is very hard not knowing.  Some of my letters are more questions than statements!! :)

How often do you write?

Every single day! :) I always want his name called for mail  call!!!

Hey ladies-any mail today from your sailors?  Still none here.

No mail or calls here either. :(
