Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 269 and 270

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

add me on FB my name is Megan Orlando.

Hey Megan, my son is going to Nuke school. It is tough having a son away but a husband I am sure is quite lonely as well. Keep your chin up as he is doing this for your family! My son finished early with all his PT so they made him Ships Mate. He spends a lot of time away from the rest of the crew since he doesn't have to work to pass any physical or swimming tests. He really likes it as he said it keeps him away from the yelling for about 3 to 4 hrs per day. At this point he says that it isn't as bad as he thought it would be. Who knows what the future holds for them...

It is really hard having my husband gone... but I am so proud of him! I recently completed two degrees and now we are both starting to bring in nice income after being pretty poor for the first 2 years of our marriage. Things are looking up :]

Megan,

Good morning, my son is in Div 269(brother div to 270) I've had 1 letter from my son as well as the form letter. I havent received a cll yet but I keep telling myself-no news is good news.  Are you attedning the meet and greet on the night prior to graduation?   It will be good to connect with some of the moms from this site.

I am going to the meet and greet if I can rent a car. I am trying to get a credit card right now and I know if that goes through then I can rent a car. I have one crappy thing on my credit that is making life really hard for me.

Anyway, if I can get a car then I will go for sure, if I can't rent a car then I'm not sure if I will be able to make it.

HI Everyone! Hope all is well....28 more days to go! I just received the return mailing labels I ordered for my son. I was even thinking he wont be able to use many because we are closer to graduation then further. Cant wait to meet you all at the meet and greet. We are staying at the Navy Lodge.

Navy Lodge here as well!  It's almost here!!!!

Quick question for all booked into the lodge... I never recieved a confirmation email from the lodge however I can see the reservation when I log in. Is that normal?

I don't know. They gave me a confirmation number over the phone when I booked.  I just now went into my email to see if they sent me an email, and they did and it is the same information they gave me over the phone.  Did you book over the phone?  If so, then you have the same info you would have received in an email.  As long as you have the confirmation number, I think you are good!

It is Navy Lodge for my husband and I as well...can't wait. I miss my kids face so much.

OMgosh, me too!

Hi there, I don't know a whole lot but I will tell you what I do know. This past week was small arms training. My son said things aren't as tough as he and we thought they would be so he is feeling pretty good. I know that isn't a lot of info but it is what I have. Also the recruits were going to hear more about their orders after basic a this week. My son said he was going to have info by around the 14th? I don't know if that came to fruition as of yet.
