Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 269 and 270

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 14 Div 270 as well.  We've heard from him and he is doing great.  Hang in there moms!  We only have a few weeks until we see our Sailors!  I'm so proud of all of them!

My son is in same ship and div his name is Evan . Are you going to graduation? I'm not able to go

My son is in div 270 so happy to know you're from same div...my son is doing good and positive..so praying to god we get to see our sailors soon

@Dee...that is awesome...nothing can make your day like hearing their voice! So glad he is doing well.  My son called Sunday also, Div 269 which is your son's brother division, and was upbeat.  He said "just keep sending those letters Mom!" ((NMH))

Hi! My boyfriend is Ship 14 Div 270. So far I've gotten 3 phone calls from him, the longest one was about 45 minutes and the shortest about 15 minutes. I've also recieved 2 letters, and he told me last time we talked that I have a few more on the way! It seems like he is doing okay, and I was so happy I was able to hear from him so much! We talked last on Monday and he told me that would be the last time I would hear from him until the "I'm a Sailor" call. That was disappointing to hear and these next few weeks are going to be hard but I am so excited to see him on graduation day! I am so happy I found this website. It has been extremely helpful in answering all the questions I've had! Hope all of you are hanging in there as well(:

When I spoke to my son this past Sunday he said it would be about 2 weeks until he would be able to call again. I read on the Navy website that the next couple of weeks will include firefighting training, shooting range training,  gas chamber,  they will learn how to throw out lines etc on a ship....and finally Battle Stations....if they pass this....they make it to graduation.  Don't be sad...be excited for him and know you get to see him soon after.  Sounds like your boyfriend misses you just as much as you miss him.  We are almost there!!!! :0)

I received a letter from SR today which surprised me.  He had good and bad news.  He was found out that he is an artist and he and another SR painted their division flag together.  The bad news is the division is sharing a cough, and he being treated for.  Overall, I was very happy to know he doing just fine.

My son is the other artist....that's so awesome!!! What are the odds we would both be on this website. :)  I heard there was a virus going around too.  Hopefully your son's cough will get better soon.  I wonder what the division flag looks like?

He mentioned in the letter that as soon as he can, he wants to add him to his facebook page because your son is talented.    It bugs me they are coughing, there I wanted to reach in my bag of home remedies and send him something.   I've faith he get through it he is a strong person and pretty sure the other SR's are too!

Hi! Has anyone heard from their sons lately? The last time I heard from Spencer was going over two weeks ago. I keep the phone close so I don't miss him. He told me everyone was having some difficulties, but they were trying their best. I told him to keep encouraging each other; it is a team and you succeed together. He sounded good, but tired.

No... The last time my son was able to call me was like 2 weeks ago... So I'm praying he calls me today... And yes some of the SR are having difficulties ... They just wont click....so excited that my son will be marching with flangs on PIR
I have 6 family member but they wont be able to attend because we only get 4 tickets...so sad
