Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 389 and 390

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We have gotten one letter from our son and a phone call on 9/8. He was bummed about failing inspection. I am praying hard that they pass the next one!

Got a call today!  He says they won't get to call again til the "I'm a Sailor" call.  So good to hear his voice!

My son called his girlfriend today and didn't mention to her no more calls.  That's a bummer.  But I did get a letter today and it made me very, very happy

I am being an air head.. where do I RSVP to Sarge's meet and Greet?

Is everybody here on the FB 10/18 group too?  Its' confusing to put nicknames here with names on FB.  Or is that just me?  lol

Hi! My son is in div. 390 this has been the hardest thing for me. I can't hardly wait for graduation.

4 more Fridays - sounds so much better than 28 days lol so thats how I am counting them down :) hang in there we are almost there. I do not think any of us were prepared for how hard this would actually be - no matter how much I read up on it and thought I was a step ahead of the game - I was so wrong. But the young men that will be waiting for us when they open those big doors - they will make this part of out journey all worth it :)

This is the only place I can let this out...I am disappointed in my SR.  We have only received 1 letter (last week).  When we last spoke on the phone, he said he didn't have any time to write but I see everyone else on here and FB getting multiple letters each week.  I am so close to not sending him anything more but I just can't do that ...  his sisters are wondering why they are not important enough for him to write to them.  UGH - I had extreme fears when we said goodbye at MEPs that we would not hear from him and it seems to be coming true (at least a bit).  I'm trying to keep it together because my husband thinks it's stupid that I am upset and the girls don't need to see how I really feel about it when I tell them he is very busy.  I won't say anything to him about my feelings in anything I send but it's really hard to stay positive about it all when I have to hear what's going on from everyone on here and FB and not from him at all.  OK - rant over...time to get on with a busy weekend of stuff!

Sorry to bring everyone down a bit but I needed to get it out...have a great weekend!

Thanks for letting me know I'm no the only one getting a few letters.  My SR doesn't like to write either.

Thank god my SR writes every week. I look forward to his letters. He says it keeps him going.

I have only received 2 letters from my SR as well. He tells me the letters keep him going as I'm sending them twice a week without complaint but...DAM...Don't they think we need something to keep us going as well ;) I guess its easier for us as we are still in our comfort zone. I I am being extremely patient.lol But....When I see him at graduation Im going to give him a big SMACK for making me wait!!!

ps I also am making excuses to my SRs 9 year old sister whom waits at the mailbox

Your not alone

My son hates to write.  I get one letter a week, and it's only one small sheet, half written page.  I have never received multiple letters, nor has his girlfriend.  I know they are tired.  They only get to write on Sundays, and mine would rather do just about anything than write, I'm sure.  I know mine appreciates receiving daily letters from his g/f and me.  Hang in there.  I'm sure he appreciates the letters you all send.
